This video is the first in a set of instructional videos I'll be making to go along with my "Kamado Cooking 101" e-book (which will be a freebie when it's finished.) This video walks you through the process of starting a small fire in your firebox and then controlling the temperature to a specific point (275° in this case). The video shows the process of loading lump charcoal into your firebox and then using a fire starter to get things going, followed by vent adjustments to keep your fire under control in your Kamado.
