When i was in high school and university, i played sometimes and i stopped because i failed several times. At those times and graduate, i thought to myself, guitar was over. Turns out I still pickup my guitar, correct my mistakes and overcome the nervous. Play for friends on discord, sometimes for parties at work by chance, no live performances, no bands. But i think at least i pick it up again.

Dave the tiny habit is exactly how I started playing again after a 2-1/2 year drought a few years ago. I worked with a lifestyle medicine group and my counselor suggested tuning my guitar. That's all I had to do. I thought it was crazy but I did it and it worked! I gradually built on that and now have solid musical habits playing guitar and recorders. I went 140+ days in a row of practice, and when I got sick and missed a day, it was surprisingly no big deal. I just picked up again the next day. I have missed about 11 days in the past year. Small habits work! 😃
