How to stay focused when studying : 1. Plan your practice 2. Do not multitask 3. Keep your environment distraction-free 4. Understand that you're teaching yourself to focus while studying 5. Respect the transition from one activity to another 6. Practice for short period of time

I'd always struggled with staying focused, and my mind had regularly jumped into every subject. Then I realise that whenever I listen to a single instrumental song repeatedly while I'm studying, the process gets very effective, and my mind doesn't act like before 😊

Shifting from one area to another, like when I'm studying vocabulary, after reading each one on the page I will go for other relevant things on Internet, and I may probably ask Chat-GPT. This shift helps me not to get bored quickly.

i struggle with that but im studying law and business. im always clicking on random unrelated videos. instead listening to my studies. i upload study material to speechify and then listen to speechify thats how i study, but also supplement that with youtube playlists and google searches. i also work in an unrelated field of work too busy to sit down with books. law and business is soo useful for anyone in any fields of work.

I have a special way of achieving focus, it's not traditional and in that sense maybe it won't help SOME people, but if someone reading this comment feels like traditional methods don't work for them... maybe this will help you! So I basically try to go with the flow. If I 'feel' like studying, I study. If I don't 'feel' like studying, then I don't (unless I am in some state where it's not that I don't 'feel' like I want to, but more like I don't 'want' to, which is different, all of this requires a lot of knowledge of your mind inner workings though). The trick is that my energy levels vary IMMENSELY, so one day I can be super tired and don't feel like doing ANYTHING at all, but then another day I feel like I have +100% energy, that means, I overflowed my energy levels lol 😂 . Related to this is giving myself time to relax when I feel like relaxing. Similar to what Hadar said about allowing yourself to 'be there', in the activity, even if you transitioned momentarily, don't try to switch back immediately, give yourself some time to accommodate, and then switch back. So the trick is that the days that I have sooo much energy and attain such incredible levels of focus, I make so much work these days, that I can relax for an entire week sometimes and don't see any delays in my projects, because I worked that hard that day where I had a crazy amount of energy. So for me that's how it works :) . It took a LONG while to figure it out though!

This is SO relevant, up-to-date topic, Hadar! Thank you for sharing! This problem took root into all spheres of life. Because of lack of concentration, I can't study effectively. But I'm sure these tools and pieces of advice will help us to fix it. BTW! I lose concentration not only for short period of time. I lose attention after several month of learning English because of many different tasks in daily life. In other words, I lose concentration on a long distance (3 + months). If you have ideas how to stay focused in this case, please tell us. I'm sure this video will have many views. Best regards.
