You should add you can do most of this stuff online now you do not need to visit a immigration office. The only time you need to go is on the first tourist extension because you will need ACR card beyond 59 days.

Very useful and practical infromation. What if I want to take a trip out of the county after a few months of extensions, do i need to stay away for a certain amount of time if i want to come back and get another month from the time of entry? And what happens after 3 years, do you need to stay away for a certain amount of time before returning to start the process over again?
@TheNYCexpat
@TheNYCexpat 8 ай бұрын
Thank you. After three years you'll have to do what people call a visa run which basically means leave the country and then come back to get the visa process reset. I don't think there's a specific time frame, people say they visa run and come back the following day with no issues, so it's up to you and the person stamping your passport really. But like I said in the video, The Philippines is one of the more lenient countries when it comes to visa extensions, so that's good

So I have a question. I'm flying into Manila, then right out to a province with no immigration office. Can I go get the first extension, for an additional 30 days right away at the Manila airport? Between my short layover. Then apply for another two months online or say Cebu airport. I'm still pretty confused. I'm trying to stay 120 days. But but I'll be in a province with no immigration office for the first 30 days
@TheNYCexpat

@@sharkinc1 yes you can request that at the airport, it's up to them though. After that you can renew your tourist visa online, but I'm not sure if you have to do your first one in person or not, so I would just double check on that with them because there are some extra things they'll want from you if you're renewing long term like the acr card

As for living cheap, I made a video about prices of stuff here and what we spend in a month if you want to check it out it's on my page. Just research, try to think about what you need, find condos or rentals online and do a rough estimate of what you might be spending so you have some idea. It's easy to live cheap here, it's also easy to spend a lot too, it depends on what you're doing. Do your research, learn what things cost so you're not overcharged, and be modest with your spending and you'll be good

I did an entire video on healthcare here if you want to check that out! As far as permanent visa, most people just do visa runs since you only have to leave the country every three years, the rest of the time you can renew your visa in the country directly. You also have the option to do an investment visa by putting so much money into a bank here or if you get married here you can also get a resident visa. Thank you for the sub!
