Videos like this are why youtube actually matters. It's not just about lifestyle or beauty, but about letting people know they matter and that they can make it through something they're struggling with. Thanks for that, Carrie.

Today has been such an awful day from the start. I was laying on my bed thinking what I should do and immediately I knew I needed to come here, and I am so happy I did. The part about remembering who you are totally made me cry but in the best way. I totally need to fill my heart with love for myself, because I AM doing the best that I can, and I am feeling so drained of energy lately. I feel so over worked emotionally . Thank you so much for your content. The self care summer series has completely effected my outlook and opened a door to a new concept of being able to try to love myself. You have been such a light for me, thank you Carrie!

I just want you to know that you're a beautiful person and I'm so happy to see that the world can contain such love and wholehearted goodness in the form of people. The fact that you reach out to others and allow yourself to be vulnerable and give people permission to own their own vulnerability is such a much needed thing especially in our fast paced society. Thank you for giving me a safe space to learn to love myself, and giving others someone to turn to in their time of need. Please, please never change. Only grow. 💖🌿

This really spoke to me...especially your advice to fill yourself up with love for yourself. Sometimes easier said than done, but definitely an important thing to actively remind yourself to do. As i've gotten older, I've come to realize that no one will or can love you better than you can love yourself, and I don't mean that in a cold or mean way. Self love is so powerful.

I was just having the worst panic attack after work and couldn’t stop crying for a few hours. As I was trying to distract myself from the negative spiral, I found this video. Hey I love your all videos. They are so good and inspirational. You know I suffered through depression for 4 years. I lost everything like everything that time. I'm a law student. And I did come out of it strongly but sometimes I can feel that past feelings of what I've gone through. Some day I just can't do nothing or procrastinate which takes a toll on me .

I agree. We sometimes don't allow ourselves to feel sad. I've been in a slight funk the past few days and I had just decided to let myself be in my melancholy without trying to judge myself too harshly. It felt kind of freeing to not try to "fix" myself immediately. So, I'm really glad you included that in your video today. Thank you

Hi Carrie, I'm fairly new to your channel, but I am LOVING the self-care summer series. Your video today has just popped up in my notifications, and it could not be more well timed. I have had an absolutely awful day. It didn't start that way when I woke up, but work happened! I was in tears for about 30 minutes this morning, but I managed to rally round. Your video has really helped me to see that I've done the right thing by choosing to inspire myself with some self care. I didn't run away from the problem, I carried on, and I spoke to one of my friends at work who gave me a pep talk. I bought some flowers on my way home, and I have watched lots of motivational videos on KZbin. I will be having a cuddle with my bae shortly, and a nice, relaxing bath, and having an early night. Thank you for this series, it has really helped me. Please keep going! I love your videos and your channel! xx

I graduated last year and I don't know what to do with my life (career wise) and I just feel very stuck and this has made me VERY anxious, sad and scared but I always find comfort in your videos. Very touching. Like you say, there are a whole range of emotions people can go through and I feel the media appeals to the extremes. This video is good to remind those who are going through a blip, no matter how big or insurmountable they may feel, that they will get through this. Sometimes your mind does just break but it does mend and things do constantly change. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you Carrie for this video. I, as well as many others that probably clicked on this video are going through a tough time and your light and positivity to keep going makes a huge difference on my outlook when I feel myself sinking into a bad day. I know that you mean every word that you say and that you truly love your viewers. One small step is all it takes to slowly crawl out of a funk that you might be in even if it’s as simple as drinking some water or eating some food like you mentioned. Thank you for the interweb hug. 🤗 😄Much appreciated. I hope that you had a beautiful day.

Carrie, I absolutely adore you and your channel. This series has been so needed in my life. This last month has been really crazy for me mentally and physically...basically anxiety and misplaced guilt caused me to lose 4 pounds in a week and calling out 2 days of work and just shutting everything out. I realized I needed to go through a self love journey and these videos are exactly what I need. Today was a hard day for me and your words were exactly what I needed to hear. 💕

I'm hoping at some point to be able to connect with people on the level that you do (and you really do connect which is pretty amazing) through my writing and not being at that point yet gets me down sometimes. Carrie, Thank you so much for going to this place and making this video. I love that you emphasize self care as not only bubble baths and face masks (which those things are important too!! haha ;) But going a step further and addressing those dark moments in which we really need some pure self love and compassion. So comforting to hear you share your own bad days/sadness and how to love yourself through it rather than fight it or beat yourself up over it. It helps to see someone you admire show they, too, carry sadness and hurt sometimes. It is something we "know" but tend to convince ourselves that we are the only ones who feel this way. You and your channel just keep growing and evolving in such a beautiful way. Thank you thank you, sending love xoxo

Carrie Rad it did. I always try to stay positive. Today I tried so hard but I was also sick and I felt worse emotionally and then also physically when someone was being so incredibly disrespectful and so mean to me. It was hard to stay positive. And I always try to keep reminding myself that I’m being the best I can be and that this person is probably having a bad day and probably doesn’t mean to act it out on me. That doesn’t make it right but I try to help myself get over my sadness by reminding myself certain things. And this day will pass and I’m really hoping to wake up tomorrow and embrace a new day. Oh my gosh. As I’m sitting here I’m still trying to get over what happened today but I’m getting there. Hugs to you Carrie!

@T_7318

I was in this same exact place with no support network a few yrs ago. The only thing that helped me was being aggressive in pushing back against the negative. I'd wake up already angry and miserable, so i found one thing to look fwd to. For me it was putting on a fun work outfit. Silly right? But it became my raft in the morning. Any time those neg voices wld pop up I'd tell them to shut it & focus on my little outfit. At work that i hated, I'd only like my breaks. So I'd use them to walk around the building, listen to music, decompress, whatever I cld do to be calm. Leaving work was so joyful. I'd focus really hard on how happy i felt driving home. It was hard. It took effort every hour of every day to pull myself up piece by piece. It's going to take time, it took me ab a year. It was exhausting, but it snowballs & you'll find a way little by little to find yourself again. You can do it. Start small. Be agressively your own best friend, your own protector. Lots of luck

Hi, Carrie... Your vid came to me at the perfect time... I just started working for a Marketing company where they send us out to raise funds for a non-profit organization for kids to have free meals at school... I love the purpose of the job and the whole movement...and although i was not aware of what I would be selling at first, as soon as i found out, i said "awsome...i can do this".... Well, today was my second day of training and i just couldn't get any of my words out as part of my script... I began feeling frustrated as I was getting all "Nos" or people would just walk by and not acknowledge me as i was trying to get them to sign up to donate... I know how it is...but i just kept thinking about my bills and doubting if i can actually hang in this type of job... I know i dont have to stay in it but feel like such a failure for allowing myself to "be in my head" and the uncertainty....worried about my bills getting paid and alll these old feelings of insecurity and self shame/feeling stupid for not continuing college being 40yrs of age, now and comparing myself to others....uggh... This Ego of mine...smh... Anyway..dont want to make this even longer but just wanted to say thank you for reminding me to remind myself of who I really am and what I stand for...gonna be easier on myself - and take deeper breaths! Much love 💕💕

You are amazing! And your #SelfCareSummer is incredible! I was doing self massage while watching this video and it was the best one. Thank you for what you are doing for this world, I can´t even explain how much I love all of your videos. Thank you, Carrie! And now I am going to read a book, meditate and sleep. Wish you a good day
