I work at a vet hospital and we have no desks, barely any down time, always surrounded by negativity whether its coworkers or clients or the animals working 10 hour shifts. Its extremely hard to be positive so i really want to look for a different job that is a more positive environment for me. I believe that changing your workplace if it truly makes u unhappy is so important too.

Love this series. I am a counselor and case manager for pregnant or postpartum women and I have recommended your channel/podcast to so many clients when talking about self care. It’s so great! I’d also add to get outside during the day! I’m about to take the last 30mins of my lunch break to walk to the coffee shop around the corner. It breaks up the day stuck in my office so nicely.

Yes I am a huge fan of getting outside during the day too. I see some of my colleagues eat lunch at their desk and not leaving the office all day...it’s crazy to me. Unless it’s raining, I 100% always leave the office to sit in the park to eat my lunch. I always feel way more refreshed and more productive once I’ve done that.

Really loved how much this focused on trying to make work life a bit more balanced and fun. I've always tried hard to be like sunshine at work - smiles, good mornings and always happy to help. Usually you get back what you give out and it works a lot of the time! I'd love a self care video on how to stay happy downsizing/on a budget - my partner and I are going to make a big life change to get really frugal & we're both a bit nervous about returning to house sharing & having to watch our money carefully.

this video is so important! we need to take care of ourselves and not just work work work... it is *okay* to rest! it is *okay* to take some time off when your body/soul tells you it's enough. I try to chill out every night and wind down from the day and I also try to have at least one weekend day where I do absolutely nothing. No cleaning, nothing that I need to do, just do whatever I feel like! Even if that's watching netflix all day :)

I recently started an office job and am really enjoying the process of intentionally decorating my cubicle to be a space I really enjoy. My work has a pretty robust wellness program and I have access to some short meditations that I can just stop for a few minutes and breathe. I also take a short walk in the afternoon outside, there's a small lake/pond thing and it's nice to kind of defrost from the A/C. I'm new to the office environment but looking at it as a long-term situation, I am trying to create sustainable habits early on that make it as painless an experience as possible.

I just noticed the books you have on the shelf - I LOVE that you have Stargirl there. I read that book as a kid and it really stuck with me, especially the part about her "happy wagon" where she measures how happy she is by filling it or removing pebbles from the wagon... Idk I just loved that book and it ties in so well with your channel's message of self love

I have been following you for already some time and I truly feel that you inspire people to bring out the best in them. You give good advice to follow and try out. But I sometimes feel that tips on how to implement it and keep the implementation process going are missing. For example, you give tons of good tips on how to wake up early, but I feel like there aren't any ideas on how to keep waking up early for a longer period of time. But you are doing an inspiring job and I love the series! I'm super excited for the next videos! :)

Thank you so much Carrie for your motivational tips. I need to put some of these into practice. I work in a place where the environment can be very stressful but one thing that I have is a support system with a few work friends where we check up on each other throughout the day and help stay positive. Please keep up the good work I love this summers series. 💓

"Life is a collection of small moments. Experience them." Love this! The "commit to doing things you enjoy" bit really reminded me to be grateful and excited that I get to study something I really care about and find fun, which is easy to forget when deadlines are looming. Also, I love your pen holder! Hope it's in the office tour video, would love to know where its from :D

Sometimes I have to remember to take a break - period. I don't even do it consciously but sometimes I won't take an intentional break, and instead I find my work lacking as the day goes on. I'll start wandering over to other people's offices to talk to them, or getting distracted by my phone, and if I just took a consistent break where I wasn't allowed to work, I think it would happen less.

I love the first tip and unfortunately, I don't do it enough. Unless things are going perfectly, I mentally beat myself up for whatever is going wrong. So, to flip that, my new video is behind schedule, but I have both portions finished. I just need to figure out how to edit them together and add some other clips to it and the video will be done. Also, I hope to connect with my family soon over a nice breakfast.
