Pro tips from a fellow Hiverunner & Master Baiter: -Bees have a severe case of the bees knees and suck at turning, so doing a zig-zag can help you avoid excessive stinging. -Bees are marathon runners, not sprinters. They will out last you but if you let go of your earthly burdens, you'll be able to skiddadle faster than the bees. Just make sure to take multiple trips. -Bees may be able to fly but they won't follow your ship into the atmosphere. So if you want to do bees early but not have angry bees, leave them on the catwalk on the outside of the ship (away from the door) and once you lift off, go grab the hive and secure its value. -Bees are bee-neath you, do not let them intimidate you. You are better, you are faster, you are stronger. Show those bees who really owns the hive.

A few caveats: Solo grabbing is far safer than teaming. By separating the bees from the hive you force the bees into an aggressive roaming behavior, so by solo running you guarantee the bees are attracted to the hive and can become pacified, saving your teammates from an unexpected swarm. When grabbing a hive, always make sure teammates are far away as to not attract the bees. It uses less stamina and is easier to grasp to just do a U turn when grabbing hives solo. Just start with your back to whichever direction you want to go, run tangent to the bee's aggression radius, then do a U turn to snatch the hive. Then just run in a straight line and drop when you've reached the last quarter or half quarter of your stamina as extra room for error, regen and repeat till you reach destination. When you reach the ship, as others mentioned, place the hive on the railing balconies on the left rear, right rear, and sides of the ship, so you can grab them when you depart. Try to keep a certain distance between hives if you're placing multiple on the ship to avoid aggro. If there are multiple hives, coordinate with teammates to grab them as the ship departs, since you don't have time to grab multiple hives and run them back inside. Just pick a beehive and pick it up, once the ship closes its doors you will be teleported inside with whatever is in your arms. Also you may be able to juke bees by walking around trees if you're in a pinch to regen stamina, but it is definitely hard to pull off, isn't consistent, and ideally you should not be in such a position.

Instead of running in to the centre then in a full circle to grab the hive, just walk on either the left or right side of the circle so you brush the aggression radius and once they aggro do a u-turn into the centre of the circle to grab the hive and run away

Another thing to note is the spawn location of the hive. If a hive is closer to an exit door than the ship, then consider taking it into the building. The bees will go rouge and wander the map, but you can take the hive back to the ship if you avoid their wandering.

You can actually outrun bees, if you spam jump even when out of stamina. You can keep spamming until you reach a doorway and escape them that way

Me and my friends tried to take multiple hives at once and called it "operation bumblebee", one is bait and one takes the hive and then we teleport the one getting chased, thing is the bees went in the ship and nested there.....3 died in the process while trying to safely fly the ship up (2 from bees, 1 from the blind dog) after that we just voted for the autopilot to fly while the last remaining survivor just sits in the corner of the ship adjacent to the beehive 😂😂 We technically succeeded by securing 300 gold and we called it "operation bumblebee - task failed" successfully

Funny thing to note, while the bees detection or death radius is in the shape of a sphere, they were programmed to use ladders. No, I'm not joking. Wish, I kinda wish I was. If you put a hive on your ship, geton the roof and trigger the agro, then yoh will have about 10 seconds to do whatever you want before they get to your original position. This also works for bees on ship to ground, so if the hive is on the ship, you can trigger agro on ground and have a teammate grab it with loads of time. Try it iut for yourself, its hinestly kinda ridiculous to see a swarm of bees using a ladder

You can loop the angry bees by hugging a tree and just walking in circles around the trunk. They wont catch up to you and you can regain all your stamina.

However customers value hives made by aggressive circuit bees so the more aggressive they are the more the hive costs, it may not be worth going for hives worth less than 70 unless it’s right next to the ship.

For some reason the bees would just not get aggroed, even when I was close enough to get stung by one. So I ended up getting tired of it, grabbing the beehive (Without telling the hive runner, who was giving me ideas to aggro the bees) and started running back to the ship while screaming "START THE SHIIIP" I have uploaded the recording of it if anyone would like to see exactly what happened shortly before and after the bees.

using a 2nd person is a terrible idea actually. you will most likely get the bees stuck on you as the second person. when the person with the hive runs too far away the bees won't be able to "see" it anymore and will just continue attacking the second person until they are dead. you need to do it solo

@@santiagofigueroa5340: The "2nd person" he's talking about is the one who takes aggro. If you steal the hive as efficiently as possible, the hive will end up too far away from the bees, and they will never try to return to it. They will keep attacking the 2nd person (the one who took aggro) forever until the person dies. Then they will hang around there and anyone who gets too close will be attacked to death just like them. When you're grabbing the hive and you're too fast, you need to purposely wait a moment to give the bees time to lose aggro on the other player before you run away, so they'll actually chase you and stay connected to the hive.

Hey, just noting, Offense also has a 0% chance for bees! And March has the highest spawn rate (35% on march, 27% on vow, 21% on assurance, 14% on experimentation). Though I'm guessing if you're doing a run with fewer players on March and you're going into the facility for most of the time still it's probably easy to miss some of the hives on the map since it's so big and sprawls in multiple directions? Assurance is still one of my personal faves with how much easier it is than the forest-y maps. Keep on hive running, fellow employees!

I found that you can lose the bees in sharp corners some bee spawns have big rocks and walls or buildings near by you can actually lose the hive by cutting corners wisely. I’ve been able to lose the bees completely to the extent they don’t even find the hive in the ship.

Me and my friends have a system in place where 1 person grabs the hive at the very end of a run, and tries to make it to the door of the ship. on the ship we will have 1 person in the very middle of the room and 1 person at the lever ready to launch. the person with the hive is supposed to make it JUST barely inside the door and wait there to die, the person in the middle acts as a buffer in case the bees continue into the ship or try to attack the person at the lever. If the lever is pulled at just the right time, we can and have made it out with no casualties. anything for the company

As fun as that sounds, your needlessly getting your friends killed, put the hives next to the door, but around the corner, you can stack them there and once you've figure out the correct placement, you just have to run out and grab it as the ship is taking off, bees get left behind, your friends live, you get more than 1 hive. I've collected 3 as a solo this way, only just barely getting the third in the timing window is tight but tbh I think with better and careful placement and very swift movement you might be able to get 4 as a solo, but im not sure

theres also a unlisted agro level for bees that iv noticed over my time playing basically the more you sorta fuck with them the more pissy they get at the start you notice they are slow and dont have any lightning but after awhile get faster what iv found is they have three states docile (here they will slowly lose their aggressiveness if any is built up) defensive (here they will slowly become more aggressive and increase that aggressiveness until the threat is gone i believe it to be a fixed rate with no limit) hunting (this instantly sets them to 100% max agro and will then start hunting the nest and the person who has it) so when hunting hives remember to do it once or twice early then once or twice at the end but never more than that as the more you mess up the more aggressive they will get [i also havent confirmed if they actually do lose aggressiveness over time or if its based on them killing someone]

Solo method is the best method. Making a detached swarm of bees that will then wander the map and murder whoever encounters them is bad. A single person steadily moving the hive towards the ship, and bringing the bees along is the only "safe" method. Drop the hive on the front right of the ship, and front left of the ship, to perfectly safely grab two hives, a third can be grabbed, but placing that one so no one takes damage is much harder, two is plenty. When you start the ship, the bees get left behind, they'll move along the sides of the ship. If you put it on the front middle, they will clip through the cabin and cause some people some damage, if you're all near critical, you could wipe from this. With the bees left behind, crew can safely go and get the bee hives, running back into the ship or being teleported back in, beehives in hand I tell people to leave the bees alone, not because it is unsafe for them, but because their novice approaches will get me killed by bees

Personally I've found a different way where you get all stamina then just run next to the hive and grab it then drop it not when your out of stamina but when your close to being out of stamina

Another thing, put it in the ship last. Best strat if co-op from my experience is to place the hive close to ship, have someone start the ship, then quickly grab the hive and hop aboard. The quicker the succession the better.
