This is a great example why learners are learners , we're not all born to be perfect !! Things take time & practice & she will get there with some practice !! People please give more patience when you're near a learner !!

​@@naziaali1714when you learning Always take your time and be cool there no rush. Do it slowly. when you do it slowly you can do it more safely. Thats what examiner want to see from you. They won't need to see a perfect driver but safe driver thats the whole point of driving test. Good luck you will be allright.

I remember hitting the kerb on my mock test when pulling up on the left - never done it before in any of my lessons. Tests can make you do some odd things.

Shann did well with all the cameras on her. I failed all 3 of my mock tests with 1-2 serious and 7-8 minors but learnt so much from them. I passed first time with 3 minors and my actual test as a lot easier then my mock ones.

We ended up doing a couple more mock tests, and ‘normal lessons’ as well - and passed the real test a couple of months after we filmed this video. 👍🏼

Well done Shaan for being brave enough to have yourself filmed in this manner. I think you’re a good driver and it was obvious you were a bit nervous/anxious so that emphasises the importance of staying calm (which I know is easier said than done), also it was quite clear in the first few minutes that she wasn’t steering the proper way (what happened to the push and pull technique?), signalling and mirrors also need some work but overall I’m sure you’ll pass soon. Keep going 💪🏾

06:43 as them double solid white lines have hatched markings to the side you must not enter the area except for in an emergency, there is one exception, you can legally cross a solid white line to enter hatched markings on a single carriageway at the end of an overtaking lane where 2 lanes reduce to 1 for any of the reasons mentioned for double white lines as per Highway Code rule 129.

That's exactly how my sister failed her first test, but it was in the covid days when examiners would stop the test as soon as you failed so she never actually left the carpark before her test was ended, only lasted about 10-15 seconds. She did it again on her second test, then passed on her third attempt (at a different test center because she didn't want to take that corner again!)

22:44 it’s concerning that some drivers forget to give way at a green traffic light when turning right, if you need to give way the traffic light will be a green circle which means that the oncoming traffic will also have a green circle on their traffic light, you don’t need to give way if you have a green filter arrow on your traffic light because oncoming vehicles will have a red traffic light.

Yes - as she would not have been able to cross the mini roundabout before the van entered the junction. Waiting for a better gap was correct there.

I think her steering is fine, if not a little stiff from nerves, but her spacial awareness is lacking. I did notice she signals unusually early, sometimes before she even sees the intersection or turn, just because the satnav said it was coming up. She'd benifit a lot by taking a defensive driving course. Helps every aspect of driving.

We haven't watched one of your videos for a long time, so it was nice to catch up. My wife was learning and doing quite well, she also passed her theory. We even had a dual control fitted to the car. Unfortunately her mother became ill and passed away, her instructor packed it in, and she lost all interest. Have you ever been to Rayleigh ?, as several years ago we were walking out of a car park and passed a lady who sounded exactly like you.

Yeah I thought you're allowed to correct it, so long as you're doing it safely and not causing any hazards to other drivers. She stopped when another car was there, then continued the manoeuvre

It was unfortunate - however this was only a mock test so it didn't matter. She didn't do it again on her real test and passed very nicely!

The chances of someone driving safely in an unfamiliar car and area are pretty low - so it's just too dangerous to let a stranger take a mock test without proper lessons beforehand. This is why we only film our own students for KZbin. Sorry

If that is all that is required to pass your practical test in the UK, you guys have it VERY easy compared to our tests. I get why Shann here had nerves though with the cameras - good for her being prepared to do that.

Where do you live? The UK test is fairly hard as is the theory test (needing to know up to 2000 road signs etc)

It is wrong to be failed in the test centre, it's not on the public road, which is what its all about. To think for the rest of the drive you are wasting your time, trying your best, all for nothing.

The car park is a public space so we do need to drive safely with good car control and judgement. This video was just a mock test filmed for your entertainment - but unfortunately I have seen many real tests failed in the car park. Sometimes the driver does opt to stop the test at that point and avoid finishing the route.

Now that I've passed it's so much more stressful. I actually miss doing lessons, knowing if I do mess up someone is there to catch my mistakes. While I had my lessons, my instructor never had to touch the pedals but just knowing it was there made me feel safer 🥲
