They are so many coaches that are in a rush for results, my inspiration in Teaching the art is Tom Yankello because he brakes it down so the Boxer understands it. If the first part of the drill is not done right, he go's no further until it is done right. The best coaches/ Teachers have patience

'Greatness is in the details.' That's why I 100% believe in you and your channel. I've never seen anyone as thorough as you in your tutorials, which makes me certain of how meticulously you plan each video. You deserve so much more for what you are teaching us and I really hope all good things come to you.

Another brilliant tutorial... I always did footwork drills after warming up and before using any bags or pads because it both reminded me and my body of what we should be doing in the ring. To me footwork is the whole basis of the sport of boxing. Either your hands should be moving or your feet should be moving or both.

man ! thank you so much for this; for years I doubted exactly how to do this movement; all the explanations say "while moving to the right, throw the right hand first" "while moving backwards, throw the right hand first", which (having practiced boxing and kickboxing on a very amateur level, but with real amateur fights), doesn´t make any sense and is not the way anyone does it in reality; you made me understand the logic perfectly; you are without a doubt the best teacher I have seen on youtube and outside of youtube; boxing needs more globally standarized explanations and I think you could do it, wether it is via free youtube videos, paid videos on your webpage, a book, or whatever; don´t let this knowledge be lost

The same for me!!! I noticed that if i start with a right punch or parry when I make the first step moving right (or backward) i can find easier the coordination... But I was wondering if it could be an error (in a "tactical" sense i mean...)
@Shojushoju3 жыл бұрын
Awesome!! I love the details. I was waiting for some more in-depth footwork videos like this. I like seeing which foot moves when each punch is thrown. I look forward to seeing videos incorporating the Hook Punch and other 2 to 3 punch combos.

Great contents and passion and professionality on your videos!!! I've just a question: when we move to the right or backward, is it wrong if we throw a right punch together with the first right step? Or a right parry? I feel it helps me in starting and coordinating the "east-west" movement of hips and trunk... Thank you for your passion and competence. Greetings from Naples, Italy.

I’m curious to know what your opinion on rising with ever punch would be ti generate power. As if there would be a low ceiling you’re biting with your head every time you step and punch. It was one of Trevor whittmans approach’s to generating power
@konpoy3 жыл бұрын
Great vid, coach! One question - what is the reason for when the right hand is thrown the shoulder blade is not completely in and the head doesn't get to the other side of line of fire? I mean, if we are talking about the nearest eye (right) looking at the barrel of the gun then it should be just like the left looking at the barrel as the jab is out. The only time when i dont fully commit on the straight right hand is if i am emphasizing another punch off it or smth like a power jab. Please explain if possible. Thank you :)
