Totally love footwork drills... The first minute of the tutorial shines a light on why Coach Tom is the very best at what he does. We cannot take shortcuts on our form or the fundamentals of our craft. Sometimes you cannot manufacture situations, but when they occur it's great to rectify them there, on the spot. Coach Tom is 100% committed to this great sport and I for one look forward to and appreciate everyone of these tutorials.

The other day a guy at the gym pointed to me and said to my coach “who’s been training him?!” … my coach says “erm … me” In my head I was thinking ‘yeah … but no.’ Obviously he’s there when I’m training and he’s great when I’m sparring will tell me what I’m doing wrong and doing right … but when it comes to the more technical stuff … I’m learning it off Don Tom Yankelo. Like with this … weight on the back leg as you pivot, no one told me this. My coach is starting to teach me a bit more these days but it’s kind of annoying that you have to show some level of improvement/commitment etc Before they’ll start teaching you the finer details. So many coaches are happy to take peoples money and let them hit a heavy bag etc. Anyone else know what I mean?

Great video. I think it is important when coaches actually break down how to implement punches with steps and pivots. It is a vital part of practice that i do not think gets enough attention. Very good attention to detail in regards to the footwork as well. I love that "heel toe" position. Amazing stuff! Thanks, coach!🥊

heel- toe alignment is soo important. otherwise you can't get your hip and shoulders in the right way for the one eye on the shot. big thanks for the video coach.😄

The way you break down body mechanics is next level. You’re on the level of cus d’amato … a great great coach. I wish I was in the USA I’d love to visit the gym :) Btw I tell all the beginners at my gym to check you out. You’re a legend here in the UK

Niceee video .....BUT a good idea to add to your videos at the end is sparring drills with a partner to show how to apply it in boxing.....showing details to pay attention such as foot placement in relation to your opponents when slipping, pivoting etc
