Hi Ms Zurcher I saw your three earliest videos thought how nice it is to watch you stitch. I’m left-handed as well and it was so comfortable and natural to see. I am going to go down your video list from the beginning to learn these lovely stitches from you. Your voice is quite soothing as well. Thank you for sharing your time and talents with us

Thanks for the video. Even though I am right handed, I do pick up tips. I had done my stitch but I wasn't happy with it and you addressed my problems. Mine was kind of puffy. So lesson learned,,, loosen tension on back stitch and a little steam. Just to say that I often repeat your videos during my learning process because I don't catch some elements and then when we put into practice, the little tips come into play! Thanks so much Ariane.

Thank you so much for your helpful tutorial, as a lefty its great to see a visual. Im inspired to work on my wool project again. I attended a Sue Spargo class and have that book, as well as a left handed embroidery book, find the video helps make the written word make sense. Looking forward to seeing more.

Ariane! I love your video, and I loved the appearance of Merlin! I have been wanting to start a project like this for awhile, and it's so intimidating when you just see the finished product of what you have created, but when you take us through it it makes it easier! This is where I started my 90 circle challenge... I've been trying to figure out the order - some videos say the circle # and some don't. I am challenged with the internet, but digging in here! Mine doesn't look as pretty as yours, but hey - I'm starting! I need a list of needles to order - and you probably have it somewhere already. I have these 3 but I'm sure you could give me a list so I can have them ready to go! I can't wait to get to the next video. I am a lefty and I feel so special that I get my very OWN instructions for a change. It's a right handed world Ariane, but you are making it a better place for us left handers. thank you again!

Deby Calvert oh Deby!!! This is wonderful, I’m so pleased to hear. Okay, needles. The easiest thing to do is to purchase one of the needle packs Sue sells. It has everything you’ll need. If you’re feeling really adventurous you could add a Bullion Needle made by tulip, but it certainly isn’t necessary. It is nice to have for using with the #5 & #3 wt threads for bullion knots.
@DebyCalvert4 жыл бұрын
@@ArianeZurcher212 - thank you for your reply! I made a good order this morning - but I did not see any bullion needles, and I have heard of the #3 wt thread but I don't have any - all of mine is 5, 8 and a few 12s... I'm assuming it's very course? it's not the easiest to search her site for things, but maybe I will call here in a bit. I just want to say thank you so much for taking the time to do these videos! What a joy you are. Hello from Texas. Take care up there. I hope to make it to New York one day.
@ArianeZurcher2124 жыл бұрын
Deby Calvert Sometimes when I can’t find something on her site I put what I’m looking for in the little search box on the upper left corner and usually what I’m looking for comes up. The bullion needles should be under the needles page, but you do need to scroll down a little to find. The #3 wt is lovely exactly like the 5 &8, just bigger. I don’t use it as much as the 5 & 8 but I do love it. PS: hello from NYC, where our lockdown has just been extended through the first few weeks of June... I’m going to get lots of stitching done!!!

I can’t change my handedness, despite what some once believed back in the early 1900’s. 😂 Also there are lots of KZbin videos for right handed people, just Google the stitch and you’ll find many.

I love ❤️ your videos! However, I am a righty. 🙃. Since it is backwards for me, it may not work. Any suggestions? I’m not at home now, but will try it out when I’m back with my threads and wool.
@ArianeZurcher2124 жыл бұрын
Ann Quandee - with the Pekinese Stitch you will be working counter clockwise, but the idea will be exactly the same. Let me know how it goes and if you run into problems, tell me, and I’ll walk you through it!

Ariane! My question, when I tried this stitch my threading thru the back stitch was very loose. Should I have made tighter back stitches or used a heavier weaving thread?
@ArianeZurcher2123 жыл бұрын
You can try doing both as you will get different results for each. Varying the tension is a great way to explore what it looks like one way and then another. I do tend to keep my backstitches not too loose, but I also make sure they aren't too tight or they will distort the fabric and begin pulling it in, which I try to avoid. I like doing this stitch with varying weights of thread so that the backstitch and the weaving thread are different weights. It's also fun to do it with two completely different threads. An example would be a Perle Cotton for the backstitch and an Aurora or something with some fuzz to it for the weaving stitch.

@ArianeZurcher2124 жыл бұрын
I haven't, but that doesn't mean I couldn't try. Are there any stitches in particular that you're thinking of, or just all of them! ❤️

I will watch the tutorial s, it just confuses me
@ArianeZurcher2124 жыл бұрын
Sandi Petsche - the double cast on is not a hand dominate stitch. In other words whether you’re right handed or left, it will be the same actions. Try it and see what you think, then tell me!❤️
