Watching older videos now, I want to do the rose, but wanted to comment about the needle. I bought a doll making needle to learn tatting on, and it’s great for long bullion knots!

Yes, I have some too. I find they bend, but I’ve used them. ❤️

Ho Ariane, I have been binge watching your videos for about a fortnight. Lucky for me, your videos came up as a suggestion based on what I might like. Totally captivating, and I have already ordered some cottons from Stef Francis. I am so enjoying your videos, and being from Australia I am fascinated by your tours around NYC. I have noticed you dont use a thimble ? Keep up the great work !

Hi Kim, I’m so glad you’re here! I don’t use a thimble or a hoop (the latter not often, but occasionally). You must join my Fb group: Ariane Zurcher Stitching Circle. Lots of stitchers from your neck of the woods. ❤️💕❤️

Gracious, I would have loved to have been in the room when Sue demonstrated that one! I begin to need Pliers at 25 wraps. That's just boggling!(with amazing results. Hi! Merlin you handsome kitty. Thank you, Ariane. Barb

I actually have not seen Sue demonstrate the tendril bullion knot. I am sure she does them beautifully, though! I just love how they look, and using her Razzle thread is helpful because it's so slippery!

Ariane, are there any special instructions for using bullion knots/loops to couch. Like the raspberry ones I see at 9:50? I was doing them on today's circle and it was kind of awkward trying to tighten it around the bullion loop that was supposed to be couched in place.
@ArianeZurcher2124 жыл бұрын
Yes, it can be really awkward to get them to not smash the bullion knot you're couching down so much that it looks a bit flattened. Keeping the distance between the emerging thread and the ending thread smaller can help, so your bullion is arching up more, if you're finding that the bullion you're using to couch is pushing down on the original bullion. See if that helps.

Wait! what is that yellow button-ish center at 10:19? How do you make that?
@ArianeZurcher2124 жыл бұрын
Haha! That's a Dorset Button. I have it on my list of videos to make. Someone else asked me the same question. Not sure when I'm going to get to it, but it should be in the next few weeks. ❤️

What size needle did you use for tendrils? I have not been very successful with these. Lol
@ArianeZurcher2123 жыл бұрын
I use a Tulip’s #1 usually. I will do another video on these in the next few days. Or maybe a livestream.
