I swear on my Mama...that this morning I was thinking that the ROOT on why I've ALWAYS felt...so bad...is that I've had forgiveness for EVERYONE...but self....it is exhausting...reductive and unfulfilling....and then THIS pops up on my notifications...so I see the universe agrees with my assessment
@SpiritualSigns777Ай бұрын
I've often struggled with harsh self-judgment after moments of unconscious behavior, like snapping at a loved one or reacting out of anger. Eckhart's reminder to view these actions as reflections of unconsciousness rather than as defining who I am is incredibly liberating. The idea of forgiving myself as an act of compassion-recognizing I couldn’t have acted differently at the time-is a practice I’m slowly embracing. It's amazing how this shift helps me break free from the cycle of shame. Thanks & Happy Thanksgiving

In life, everyone makes mistakes, especially when we are young. We don't need to blame ourselves for our mistakes. What’s important is that we learn and grow from them. Even when I first started my spiritual path, I was brutal on myself that I was just never going to “get it.” Thank you and God that I did start having compassion for myself and slowly started calming about it. That helped me acclimate into that and forgiving myself for an unconscious past that I had absolutely no clue about at the time. It opened the door for me to become more conscious and aware. I've been stuck with soul crushing regrets, for decades. So much grief, I've cried a river of tears. I don't know how to stop judging myself and others of course. I don't regard myself in any fashion, since I've never known myself. I know pain, fear ect. and feel trapped in my emotions that I identify with. I guess never having a positive, realistic self-esteem sort of stunted my psychological development, I'm still at about the 5th grade level of social and emotional maturity and have been through the humiliation of it throughout my lifetime. I've been told numerous times I'm a coward, that that is my singular error I continue to make. Said if I had faced my fears, traumas, I wouldn't be always searching for answers. Said I need to suffer until I 'capitulate'!. Not sure about all that but as far as I understand it, I'm paying the price (heavy) for not following the normal path of childhood development into adulthood. Who knows, I'm 66 and have permanent damage to the CNS from Benzos.

“The beginning of freedom is the realization that you are not “the thinker.” The moment you start watching the thinker, a higher level of consciousness becomes activated. You then begin to realize that there is a vast realm of intelligence beyond thought, that thought is only a tiny aspect of that intelligence. You also realize that all the things that truly matter - beauty, love, creativity, joy, inner peace - arise from beyond the mind. You begin to awaken.” - Eckhart Tolle.

Yes many people have same situations, but they don’t translate those situations the same they’ll have different perspectives different feelings about it different outcomes etc it’s about individuals and yup this species denies and denies and denies it’s an individual which is why it finds everything harder for it whereas accept you’re an individual and you never have that creeping conditioning that loves to take hold

The essential component of compassion exists as a construct in which dependency acts as an "A Priori" subjugation of genetic sequencing. Compassion is an autonomous necessity of life. One can say "I Have Compassion & Empathy For Animals But I Despise Humans." Thus, the ontological foundation of "Being" is derived from what can be the case, as it exists through a transitory function of "What Is" , opposed to what will be. What governs human sentiment riddles through an incessant dilemma entailing "Perception" as a manifestation of how value is achieved , albeit, a prejudicial bias may be inherent as such.

I envy people like Eckhart Tolle and Wayne Liquorman because they had breakthroughs that changed their lives dramatically. And me? I seem to be trapped in the same state more or less as it has always been for decades. Stuck with addictions and too many bad habits from my pov. If I asked Wayne for advice he would just tell me to keep breathing. That is the advice he gave to a woman on a KZbin session. At first I thought he was being a bit of a smart-arse, but I sort of get where he was coming from these days.
