If you are a introvert, that doesn’t mean your shy. Every since I was young I never cared about being popular. I found out early that I would rather be treated right than be liked and respected than being popular. Just because your popular, it’s doesn’t mean your respected. I like going out and socializing but when I’m done I’m done. I need my own space and time alone . I no longer want to be bothered. I much rather enjoy peace and quiet. Figure out yourself and do what works for you.

similiar situation for me too but honestly the thing for me is I have it hard to get comfortable with new people, I need months and months to do so, but with my friends I'm litteraly an extrovert I joined high school this year and everyone is new to me and by far I don't talk at all the whole school time only when someone asks me sth and idk I feel bad because I used to be very diff in middle school because I knew everyone for years and cuz of this I'm starting to hate high school :(

I learned I was better at talking to females in a one on one setting. So when you see a female by herself, go for yours and don’t let that inner voice talk you out of it.

I’m gonna over-intellectualize this but I’m saying it anyway. It’s no different than 5000 years ago people being expected to sacrifice their newborn for the rain gods. The “social majority” believes it to be so and necessary, so the pressure gets put on, like that introverts are inferior to extraverts and thus need to become them. Enough people with enough influence believe it so the belief will be propagated almost like it’s a cultural value. It just so happens we exist at a time we haven’t came to realize how stupid it is, but that’s just like the savages who would forcefully make others sacrifice their kids to the gods. It’s almost literally the same principle in action.

I come to find that while you're "faking" the confidence more of your authentic self starts coming out and you start getting comfortable with showing you're true self. As an introvert who is very comfortable talking to people and is a fairly confident person, the best piece of advice I can give you is to accept that you’re an introverted person. Don’t try to BE an extravert, just take so cues from how they act around others. Don’t be afraid to share your viewpoints, explain your insights, or just simply be yourself. It’s a myth that quiet people don’t succeed. Unconfident people don’t succeed. And confidence has nothing to do with introversion/extroversion.

There are many introverted KZbinrs, u ans many others have a wrong stigma and /or misconceptions abt introvertism and introverts, u can still be an introvert and talk to people and actually like it, but they would have a smaller circle, and if it's too much, their energy could be drained, but they could still really like the company of others and not have a problem talking with people(whether in general, or with certain or some people), it just depends on the person(the introvert). A few or some introverts could be considered as an ambivert too

The only difference between introverts and extroverts is that introverts get their energy drained talking to ppl. But extro-recharge their battery by talking to ppl. My online classes began 4 months ago and now the government order has come to open colleges which is a blow to me I didnt expect them to open any soon and I have to go to college tommrow ,I actually don't know anyone in my class of 60 , while most of them have already met eachother couple of time but I stayed at home and avoided all meetups, Tommrow it would be hard for me to survive everybody will be busy with talks with eachother and with girls while I hardly know their names and will have no topic to talk about they won't be able to recognize me ,I chatted with like 3 of my classmates online including a girl ,I don't know what they will think of me tommrow like I use to chat with them online and when I see them tomorrow I will lose my ability to talk ,I just don't want to be left alone Do you have any tip?
