Well this is rude. I JUST left a therapy session going in depth about this, and now this pops up on my feed. Alright God I hear you. Sheesh 🙄

i play your videos and listen/watch them while I’m quietly getting stuff done at work and at home. It’s like having a caring friend spitting out facts cause they want what’s best for you. Thank you for this. It’s really important for us to not be so hard on ourselves like this and be more caring and compassionate. Sending love your way.

I realised that being hard on myself is literally the wound that is making my life miserable. And that is why I am here ❤ Thank you for you!

I'm really glad you decided to post this video, the content is really valuable and as someone who's been going to therapy for the past 10 years i can say that you said many right things, especially the one about naming your inner critic and make a little explaration about this persona within. My therapist used to tell me "Draw your inner critic, create a character out of her!" and also asking journling questions such as "What is this inner critic feeling while telling my all of this bad stuff?" / "What are they trying to get?" / "Why are they saying this to me now?" etc. LOVED THIS VIDEO, THANK YOU ELICIA!

Loved this video 🤗 would you be able to do a video on 'daddy issues' and learning to forgive your father? This is something I'm currently trying to deal with 💖

It's easy to talk about it but it requires so much hard work especially compassion I wish if it could just flow to me easily

That’s very true, but always remind yourself that you don’t have to feel self loving and accepting AT ALL TIMES. That’s literally your perfectionism coming back out by thinking you have to be someone who never judges themselves, you see? Take your time, you will have better days than others, and honestly the more you practice, the more it WILL flow to you!

Thank you for the very much needed reminder that I am not the inner critique in my head and when she gets loud I can always challenge her to get clarity on the situation
