Literally, me looking this up: how to stop a dog from licking everything and licking me... She's a lab Pitbull. I have never had a pitbull. Bully breeds are very pushy. They're definitely, named well. They are definitely bullies. She's very inquisitive. It almost reminds me of a toddler putting things in their mouth. But I'm at the point where I am over it. She loves to drink water and just walk straight up on me drooling water all over me. Kissing me at any moment she can. It is annoying. I've tried no I've tried sit I've tried to stay I've tried to be very calm and caring and polite. I'm at the point where I am actually sitting on my porch right now. I don't want to get angry at her. So I'm taking 10 minutes. I can't wait to listen to this. Please help me please help me I can't take the licking. I'm at my wit's end. And I'm hiding right now. That isn't right. I've never had to deal with this before with a dog. Ever. I've never had a dog that wouldn't stop licking. This issue has never crossed my path. I can't ignore it, do you know what it's like to have your arms licked by a slobbery dog. I ignore that. I can't take it. I have to sit with a towel when I'm around her. I'm done. No I cannot ignore that. Oh so I'm doing the right thing. Okay cool. I'm such a tiny woman it's almost impossible for me to cross my arms and ignore her. Yeah that's impossible. So I'll just remove myself. We'll let the games begin I want to win this one. No matter what.

I just had a pimple job done and there are small openings on my face that have really small amounts of blood. If my dog licks it but my dog did not take the rabies shot yet, will that be a problem? I washed the place my dog licked with water and soap for a long time

My dog female border collie puppy always pees when she sees new people or sees someone who she hasn't seen in more than 2 days, how can I stop this behaviour, I would assume it's excitement.

Yes, it's excitement but can also be nervousness. It's all about trying to keep calm but is something that commonly stays with dogs for life

I have a foster dog who was in a shelter crate for 2 months. We have completed one week together but she's developed an obsession with licking my legs and tugging on my shorts. I'll ignore, turn my back, and she continues. I've ignored while sitting and she continues and starts to tug on my shorts. I given her a Kong to distract her - once she's done, she's back to licking me. When she starts to lick me, I'll stuff another toy in her mouth (squeaky), but she prefers to lick me. This happens a lot when I sit down but not when I'm washing dishes. It makes it hard when I'm trying to train her, she will lose interest in the game and lick my legs (i.e. when I'm training "calm" on a mat she'll get bored and come lick my legs - I'm sitting on a chair). I've tried to reward her for not licking me. When I turn around and ignore her and she lays down, I'll give her a treat but that didn't stick, she eventually makes her way to my legs. I've started to close my office and leave her in the living room to sleep all day. She gets plenty of exercise in the morning - she can barely finish our walk. Our interaction is now limited to walks and when we do crate training. I can no longer pet her or really be around her without her sudden obsession with licking my legs. Help! This doesn't seem right...

training takes time to work. A week is no time at all so be patient. Stick with things and I'm sure you'll get there. It sounds like she is looking for reassurance

This video is shitty. Also if you want to stop the licking set a command for No or stop. Once he learns that he’ll understand “no” is “not allowed” vs you just ignoring him is definitely worse. Also a week is plenty for him to understand and value the situation. I trained my pitbull puppy how to go pee and poop on command at 6 months of age. plus he learned this in a week (fyi first time ever teaching a puppy this) anyway as a dog breeder I don’t really support this to help your dogs.

I love when my dog licks me, I don't care about hygiene but I am wondering if it would affect people's health. Is it so? If it licks me and I eat some snacks without washing hands, what will happen?

You could end up with a nasty infection like salmonella or campylobacter or giardia being the most common. Hygiene really is something everyone should care about
