How to stop feeling bored in a new country

Military spouse for 20 years. My best advice for moving to a new place has been to find a club or group that is doing something you're interested in (sports, animal rescue, crafts, D&D, etc). Show up and be willing to do things like stack chairs or whatever. As a non-joiner this was hard, but worked every time.

Most district's have local running clubs. Join a Bridge club. Some local pitch & Club clubs. Lots of Gaelic sports club and football clubs. Walking clubs. You can also join a charity. Great way to meet people.

I think no matter where someone lives ,life can get lonely & boring , but there's clubs to suit everyone's hobbies & lifestyle , I don't think these feelings are unique, everyone has these feelings. Charity work is a very productive way of meeting new people 😊
