yes! I love it the idea of being authentic. I get so tired of people saying you shouldn't be angry or depressed. we're human and that's ok. embrace every emotion. it's easier to move out of negative emotions when you acknowledge them

I live in the realm of obligation, and I've been dealing with worsening chronic fatigue symptoms (with no discernible cause) for a decade. I never once considered it from this angle! I'm also a lifelong people pleaser, which is clearly a bit of a problem. And also always solution-driven and productivity-driven, tied up with my self-esteem. So thank you for this- I feel like I have a good vocabulary now to prioritize the issues that I need to work on, and hopeful that they might have a positive effect on my health.

I feel the same way in a group of people I feel when I do talk no one hears, I feel I can not communicate effectively with others or connect. This really has been very educational

I also avoid horror films 😖😆. This was needed. I can get plenty of rest, yet still feel weak when faced with the obligations I focus too much on. Forcing myself to be positive can be frustrating too. I like the suggestion to focus on authenticity. 😊

I really connected with the emotions you talked about and having felt invisible. I feel uncomfortable in groups for the same reasons. You are absolutely correct about following the things that bring us joy, thank you for the reminder. I needed to hear this.

You have such a beautiful and intriguing way of stringing words together. I couldn’t focus on getting to the meat of the video until I wrote this comment because I was just so enamored by the way you were presenting it.

Hi Olivia! I was wondering if you could do more talks on how to connect with people. Sometimes we are in situations with likeminded people where we don’t even need to say a word, but we feel connected. Other times, it seems the only connecting topic to discuss with someone is the weather! Talk about boring! One strategy I appreciate is to focus on the other person. Do you have any strategies for reaching through that divide? How to cut out the small talk? How to get on the same level to connect with people, even when it is challenging to access a common interest?
@LivKissper
