I'm sometimes doing that with Spanish and Portuguese right now. But in the case of Spanish, I am brushing up on it. With Portuguese I started from zero. However, I devote significantly more time to Portuguese than Spanish. If I accidentally mix them, then I'll ask for a correction and focus on improvement. As for music, J-pop and K-pop are my go-to.
