How To Stop People Stealing Your Catalytic Converter - A Step Too Far?

A short video showing my thoughts on how to prevent catalytic converter getting stolen, I used 16mm rebar specifically because it is hardened and readily available, in the hope that anyone wanting to steal this particular cat will have second thoughts as it should take significantly longer to cut off. Thieves don't bother with after market cat's because they ain't worth anything for scrap.

That’s a ridiculous statement. Thieves aren’t looking for an OEM part # or label when they’re sliding under your car at 2 am. They want to cut the cat out as soon as possible and make their getaway. They DO look for SUV’s and certain models that have easier access to the cats.
