Adyashanti calls it a vortex rather than a wheel since a thought comes and sucks you in like a vortex. beautiful last half minute of this video.. we are just dreaming!
@davidcervenka12826 жыл бұрын
Experientially it doesnt feel like that "it sucks you in". Maybe it feels like it at first but later you see that its more like the attention goes to thoughts only by habit or because theres still some interest in what they suggest :)

How to stop suffering: "You can get off the wheel of samsara or wake-up. You wake-up and you realise I was dreaming I was in a wheel called samsara, and the one who was on the wheel was just an idea I had of who I am. I have never been on any wheel." Mooji

I or me it is not a thought or a word but an energetic structure which grows due to identification and experiences. We feel this ego energy as a strong sense in the body and make us identify with the body although it is different from the body. Thus we sense that we are the body (I am the body or the body is) born some years ago. The essential nature of ego is desire and seek pleasure, happiness and fulfilment through sensory experiences. The I expands and assume many forms. Most fundamental are:likes-dislikes, attraction-repulsion or aversion, greed, pride, lasciviousness, gluttony, avarice, arrogance, vanity, fear, anger, hatred, impatience, resentment, depression, charm- disappointment, jealousy, frustration, loneliness, boredom, discontentment, uneasiness, inferiority, superiority, insufficience, incompleteness, etc. All these egoistic tendencies are not different from the I, but modifications of the I itself. The ego according the circumstances in the twinkling of an eye assumes some some of these various forms creating in our mind and heart a continuous turmoil with a variety of intensity.

I just want to start a family with the woman I love, then Covid happened and we were separated from each other in two different countries. I am feeling samsara because the world i build was built upon a hope that was destroyed. I am feeling samsara. Give up on that dream I can't.

The only reason for time is so that everything does not happen all at once, and the only reason we suffer is when we try to control time. The moment you let go of what you want and trust that with "time" everything that you want will happen, with time everything that you want starts to manifest, Not at the same moment but one moment in time. _Noelkinz

Dear Mooji: what of the epidemic of depression and it's widespread treatment with ssri drugs? Should I come off the drugs and plunge again into that despair? To face it and feel it fully? I feel shame for using these drugs and yet I feel I need them to participate in day-to-day life.

Why shame? Maybe do you think there is something wrong with you or that you are imperfect or weak for being depressed but is that true?
@kanjotv7908 жыл бұрын
Who is depressed? if you say "I am" depressed, then follow moojis advice in finding the "I" who is depressed. not your body, not your name...you observe the depression...it's not you!
@astrophonix8 жыл бұрын
Talk to your doctor about mindfulness courses, these are broadly similar to advaita teachings and are showing in tests to be at least as effective in treating depression as SSRI drugs, but without side-effects. Tell him you want to be weaned off the drugs so you can do it in a controlled and monitored way.

Scrumpilump200 I understand its been bout a month since your comment but if your still in touch with this comment thread I want to suggest a ten day meditation course to you. Its helped me thru my depression significantly since I've started using this meditation technique. I've also learned how to "control" my craving for drugs after some time I no longer have a strong urge to smoke anymore. If you are interested in the technique please message me back I'd be happy to at least share this resource with you.

Veganboobie Boobie whatever is happening around you is happening because of you it's happening through you just flow with it, whether it's a happiness or sadness just experience it at that moment but never create bonding with them because nothing is permanent. What if the suffering is from physical pain from an injury. Constant everyday pain? What does he say about that kind of pain and suffering how and what do you do
@Misslotusification6 жыл бұрын
My experience is that I can lessen the suffering coming from non-acceptance as well as inquire about what I am experiencing exactly in the moment (discomfort vs pain + is it really constant?). And I don't let any thoughts linked to the future creep in my mind, like: "The pain will never stop" . Yet... pain is still there and much thinking is around it, keeping it very alive, isn't it?
@bernardstcroix68046 жыл бұрын
My experience in physical suffering...is, acceptance of it...as you become kind and-or make friends with the suffering it seems to lessen. I think it also brought me inside to discover who “I” am verses looking outside. We became friends and it had much to teach. It has been 6 years since my quadruple open heart surgery...and through this process the pain in my nerves, muscles and bones is finally subsiding...May you be free of pain and suffering.🌷🙏🏼🌷 Alan Watts stated...In life there is suffering, but we do not have to suffer suffering.
