"Worry buster" formula: 1) Define your problem clearly. Problem well defined is a problem half solved. Write it down. 2) What is the worst possible outcome of this situation? 3) Resolve to accept the worst possible outcome. It probably won't kill you. 4) Do your best to avoid the worst possible scenario. Use creative thinking, think outside the box and methodologically resolve problems.

I worry so much that I will sometimes turn into a complete and utter anxious mess, I will not feel the will to even eat food because the worry makes me feel sick. But this video is rather correct. "Forget what has happened in the past and don't worry about what might happen in the future. 99% of the things you worry about will never occur." *edit* Thanks for making this video. It's good to watch because it gives me a bit of hope.

I had a bad experience in the past of choking and it scared me badly , so I learned first aid and learned ways of how to unchoke your self in different ways etc and how to help people who are , and how to avoid choking so eating slowly and eating small pieces of food , so for a very long time I worried everytime I would eat something I would choke but I learned things I dint know in the past and now I’m a better person and thank god I did because I have no brothers or sisters and spend a lot of time on my own so if something did occur I would know what to do , and that’s positive but I try not to think about that no more and just eat careful. I see so many just stuf there food down I did when I was younger and it’s dangerous if your on your own and have no idea what to do if you do choke! thanks for your advice thought I share my little worry I still have to this day which is much better now!

When you are listening to advice such as this you are thinking and following and agreeing with the advice. However in real situation you are not thinking but you are facing the fear. This is why even though people have been listening or reading how to stop worrying but they still cannot win or overcome worry when facing real life threats or worry. No one can escape fear or worry and there are differences degrees of fear and worry. It cannot be treated as the same.

Responsibility !!! The more responsible you feel in life the happier you are and one must find ways in which a person can be feeling more responsible about the things that are perceived otherwise reactionary and uncontrolled ... Understanding unconditional love versus survival mechanism and how us as human species are of reflexion conditioning treatment and Abraham Maslow hierarchy of needs pyramid which in details defines the levels of purification and evolution of human nature can help to our normal process of detachment and healthy growth of individualism.

I worry that I won't be successful. I worry that I will have a mediocre job and live a boring life. I know I can do better and want to, but am holding myself back because of the worry. I am also self-conscious about my looks, which makes me shy and makes the worry worse. I hate this because I know I have so much potential.

I used to believe this but, when shaking off my past and starting anew and having no worry whatsoever and only confident thinking, I had quite an abominable outcome for what my purposes were. Granted, I did not die so it was not the WPO but I did have two medical conditions upon finally starting the masters program of my dreams, setting me back in my work to the point where I was forced to withdrawal rather unfairly. In positive moments, I move on and tell myself that there is something great to come out of my year off but, I am an international student and it is expensive to live here and lots of complicated things involved with being an international student taking a leave of absence. But, I am ok-- it took some time to get past the bitterness and try to make something positive out of it but whenever I see videos like yours, it bothers me a bit because in all honesty, we do have a lot of control over our lives based on our outlook and expectations but not 100%. I was completely positive and almost overly confident when I arrived here, excited to finally be pursuing the career of my dreams. Aggressive with taking on a few extra pursuits that saved me quite a bit of money. Perhaps more confident than all my classmates, actually. So when I hear "you are responsible for your successes and failures" I cringe. Surely people who become ill for random strange reasons cannot be held accountable for their losses in life? To boot, this was the first time I have ever been to the hospital for anything. I used to hike cliffs and mountains and worked with violent children with autism on the severe end of the spectrum who sent every coworker of mine either to the hospital to take a leave or just left for good because they had enough. I have always been physically able more than the average person so when just moving to the other side of the world and beginning to study resulted in two medical conditions back-to-back within my very first semester of my intense grad school program, it was almost like very bitter irony, if you will. Where would your teachings fit in to all this? I have always been a believer, until this year. Sometimes "shit just happens."
@timarieg
@timarieg 9 жыл бұрын
I will add that, ironically, I started worrying the most after the outcomes of this year.... because I had SUCH a positive mindset and yet I still managed to end in a failure so, it appears inevitable as my whole life has been mistake after mistake (executive dysfunctions and ADD). Even when I had all the hope, and all the confidence I have ever had in my life, somehow it still was not enough. Hence, this results in me now worrying as, logically, it makes sense to even though I hate worrying and know that it takes away from my daily happiness. I still push it aside just so I can be happy from day to day but in all honesty, this year has solidified my need to be concerned.

If you measure your worth and success by comparing it to others you will always feel like you have failed. We all have different capacities and purposes in life. Measure your success by comparing it to yourself only. If you work and study hard that's a success of its own. Even if you struggle with school you can't give up. Keep trying and studying. The only way one can fail is by giving up, losing hope, and diminishing oneself. Remember everyday you are alive is a blessing that gives you the chance to start all over again to try your best.
