Tried toys, but my bunny not interested, prefers my carpet, curtains and sofa. Tried giving him a cardboard box to tear up, but he eats it. I cut sticks from my apple tree, but he loses interest after two minutes. He likes my slippers, usually while there still on my feet. He’s also obsessed with my door stop which is attached to the carpet. We have had to pen certain areas off now, so he can’t get everywhere. He completely destroyed two computer chairs. My leather sofa has so many holes, I have to put a throw over it as it’s so bad. He has a massive pen he goes in overnight. He has room to run about. It has a special bottom to go inside, which came with the strips to stop rabbits chewing the sides. The strips were so hard to attach, I thought they would be great. They were really hard plastic. They lasted a week before he had figured out if he pulled at them hard enough, he could get them off and chew the bottom. Now he’s destroyed the sides, he’s left the bottom alone. My husband laughed at me when I put them on and said, he won’t be able to chew the sides. He said to me, they will be off before you know it. Trouble is, the older he’s gotten the more mischief he gets into. He now goes into his litter box and digs out all the litter. He likes it best when I’ve just put new litter in. I do have to laugh though, when your talking to someone at the door and all you can hear in the background is flying litter hitting everything in my sitting room.

I’ve been using a mixture of vinegar and water to spray on stuff I don’t want my bunny to chew on because that seemed safe for her. It works temporarily but the problem with vinegar is it evaporates after a little while and then she’ll go right back to chewing on it

This is a great video, thank you. I'd love to also know how to encourage my rabbit to ONLY chew on the toys I offer. Right now, she chews on the toys AND the furniture, including wallpaper. I don't know how to protect the wallpaper, since it's everywhere and made of paper.

Have you tried supplying bunny with cardboard boxes and cardboard toys? Might encourage bunny to chew on those items and not the wallpaper.

@@RabbitSanctuary I have the same issue with her going after my walls she has a card board box that I fill with hay for her to go in and out of and it has three exits one she made her self and plenty of toys but she just won’t leave my walls alone she peels the paint and keeps trying to go after it and I have done my best at converting it but I’m going to be moving into my own apartment not to long from now and I can’t have her chewing the walls I just don’t know what to do. She has been spayed

Go to Lowe or if you have leftover Ceramic from a rénovation and you need just a piece of Ceramic or linoléum title for the kitchen or bathroom the same kind but a heavy one not a really light and small ....the size of the corner its heavy so they cannot move IT and Break IT ... they gonna Forget about this spot ....that work for me Ceramic is the best its more heavy like a Square or rectangle Ceramic pièce hope that help you !!!!

This is great but how do I get my rabbit to stop chewing on my furniture???? I dont want to keep him in a cage, but I save on money I may have too. Don’t let your bunny go under the couch. Not only to prevent her from chewing the carpet but they can end up chewing holes in the couch underside and then hide in the couch or hurt themselves. I blocked off access to my couch by placing big flattened boxes under it. My bun has tried nibbling on the cardboard box only once and she lost interest in trying to get under the couch now.

My two bunnies live in the rumpus/lounge in an enclosed wired pen with hard wearing PVC mats to protect the floor. When free roaming they love to hide in/under my modular sofa and yes...they have started to chew it... TBH I am not to worried as it was a cheap sofa but nonetheless I still monitor and try to stop them in the act or before they do something naughty :P

My 5 month old holland lop baby loves eating my carpet 😔i have her free roomed and she is litter trained but there is a specific area by the door that she always pees or poops unless I place the litter box there. Which is hard because its by the door please help

If you cage her in a smaller aria where her "toilet" is not reachable but the litterbox is and slowlygive her more space as she uses the litterbox, also smart to but it in a corner, you can also try to spray the spot with perfume, bunnies goes back to their earlier toilet*, and if they can't smell it then why pee there, it worked for me,hopefully for you too :)
