my flower horror story: I share an island with my younger brothers and since we all share a switch, it took me a while as the island representative to go further in the game. A few months later we finally unlock the ladder recipe. I go up on my island cliffs (our map has a lot and they are very spacious) to find them covered top to bottom with flowers. Yes, I have controlled and fixed the problem but I can still vividly remember the pain of removing each individual flower one by one. (Timmy and Tommy sure did make a lot of profit from me buying shovels)

So……….. here’s my story :’) Of course, as you start out in the game, you have a cliff area, that has a few flowers on it. Well, once I hit 3 stars, and unlocked ordinances, I put the beautiful island ordinance on, and now literally my whole island is covered in flowers, as I am a heavy time-traveller.

On my first island, my flowers took over like crazy so when I restarted I made up a trick that still works, what you do is when you restart, wait until you get the shovel and when you get it dig up your flowers that are in your cliffs and if you want to keep them then put them on your beach, so you have clear cliffs and your flowers won’t spread🎉🎉🎉

I just kinda stopped caring about the flowers because I 2as very lazy, then I started to care and had so many flowers that my switch would lag, so I hired my sister and me and her spent 4 days digging up the flowers and we must've broken 15 or so shovels each! But now I'm on top of my flowers every day!

I stopped playing for a whole and when I reloaded there weren't too many flowers but I kept playing everyday for about a month then quit again and about 2 years later flowers were everywhere fully covering my second and third cliffs and they were starting to take over the ground level too so I dug up some of the flowers on ground level then I stopped playing again for a year then when I reloaded the game my entire island was covered in flowers except where the paths were and I didn't want to spend weeks digging them up so I had to restart my island

Gosh, I decided to finally work on some nice fancy environments on the top of my island. As I walk past my campsite and walk to the area I'm walking to, there is a massive field of flowers. It covers about 4 squares on my island map and I was planning to use this space for future creations. I'll now have to shovel each and every single one one of these 100+ flowers

I’m not sure if I mentioned it in the video, but if you move a building on top of the flowers, it will delete the flowers. That could possibly be a faster way to remove 4 acres of flowers.

i use the design and fencing method to control my flowers. Actually one flower-patch is also blocked by pumpkins to the north. Wegetables-plants like theese are another working barrier for flowers.

Creepypasta i made after this : I used to play animal crossing new horizons during lockdown all the time couldnt get enough. But as things went back to normal in the world i lost interest in the game. About last month i decided to check it out and i wasnt surprised to see a villager moving out and some flowers growing all over my island. As I went around it was oddly only black roses that i had planted far off for gold roses they had taken over the island. I looked for my villagers nothing nobody i decided to boot off the game and restart it probaly a bug as the game booted up i weant outside to get some fresh air and in my backyard i noticed something off black roses? Those were bot there before or maybe i just havent been observant i didn't pay much mind to it. I grabbed my pro controller only to find it hard to move my thumbs they had turned into petals i was freaking out screaming for help but when i opened my mouth a stem came out and in seconds a black rose came out as my body crumbled into soil. Make sure not to leave your island unnatended

The two you missed are not till 5 star or higher. Gold flowers & lily of the valley will not reproduce so place them where the fences would be.

Not a horror story. But I made a solid path up on my cliff just far enough away from the edge it put at least 2 flowers of each kind in there. So if I want to spawn more I can just dig them up and move them. Wait until they spawn as many as I want . Then, put the two back . Oh, and place something in that spot until I put them back so it doesn't get filled by other flowers.

Idk if this is a horror story but on my old island I placed the museum close-ish to the beach and then I put a flower somewhere near the museum and that's when it started, A Lily flower infestation that started by eating up the area near the museum, there were all sorts of colors, red, yellow, black, pink, etc. And then I nuked my old island aka restarted and I don't have any pictures of the flower infestation so I can't remember exactly what it looked like
