Another top tip is to seek out foundations that do not have titanium dioxides in the formula. Some brands like Nars also specialize in nonoxidizing foundations.

But in nars creamy concealer , second ingredient is titanium dioxide.. what to do?
@kseniakoltovich2877 Жыл бұрын
it's rly interesting that you say that bc i have the worst experiences with nars foundations when it comes to oxidizing. i love the formula of their foundations so much but i look like an oompa limps after like 40 minutes.
@yeahaboutthatthough3656 Жыл бұрын
@@jasneet6569 Fair question! While it's true that the higher up on the ingredient list, the higher the amount of the ingredient is present in the formula, but in the case of the concealer you mentioned, the amount of that ingredient present is negligible. It doesn't give flashback or look ashy at all. I'd say choose the right undertone, but the clarity of the pigment is so great, you really can be off several shades in either direction and still get great effects

Yes. I would go for the solution of getting a lighter shade of foundation. Because no matter what technique you do if you are acidic, foundation gets darker if you are using a shade that matches your skintone. The best way is getting a shade lighter than your skintone...
@michaelscott31753 жыл бұрын
Exactly no matter what I do all foundation oxidise on me infact I look 3 times darker than my actual skin shade after few hours

So I normally never use CC cream and I bought the Elf CC cream, I have oily skin and I have a very strict skin care regimen. I always wash, tone and prime and wait 15 minutes before applying foundation and concealer. This cc cream has been the first one that has oxidized on me. I looked almost orange 😂! Do you think a CC cream has something in it? Also I can’t use anything with spf because I sometimes break out in hives. I thought about just not using it anymore or buying a lighter shade like you suggested. But I just had that question…

My foundation oxidized in the bottle. It’s relatively new - bought it 2 months ago. I bought it 2 shades lighter, but now it is slightly darker than my skin tone. I am considering buying a new one and transferring it to a bottle with a pump, but I worry it won’t help because once we break the seal and it’s exposed to oxygen that’s it- it will inevitably begin to oxidize. Do you have any tips on how to work with foundation after it’s oxidized in the bottle itself? I have used these methods on my skin before using the foundation and it’s helpful but it’s only a minimal difference overall. Would love some help. Thank you!
