How to Store it: Beads & Jewelry Making Supplies!
Today I will show you how to store and contain your bead stash. I will also show you how I store findings, wire, cord and other bead making essentails. The little pail on my shelf holds my jewelry glues. Here are some of the containers I used:
The red and clear cubes are by Ultamate Stacker
The test tubes and holder are from Shot Wizard but I got the otherones in the backet from Sam's club, they often have them around valentines day for party favors, just empty the gunballs and use the containers for beads!
The yellow box is from Harbor freight
The clear tackle box I use for wire is by Martha Stewart but Plano make a similar one
The ticc-tack boxes came filled with low quality beads from Joanns for about $6 but I have seen the boxes empty on Oriental Trading and Wal Mart for $4 empty.
The white cardboard box that I have my findings in is by Making Memories but they are out of business, maybe you could use a jewelry box or chocolate box as a similar solution.
The clear containors stacked up with paper beads and other odds and ends in are from the Dollar Tree, they are really durable and have usefull sized compartments. They seem to always have them in stock too.
Tips:
Keep like items together, here are come of my categories:
paper beads
glass beads
stone beads/chips and stone-look ceramic beads
cord, wire, thread, beading needles (and any other stringing materials)
Glue (they are all in the pink bucket on my shelf)
Metal things (findings, spacers, crimps, charms)
Seed and "e" beads (in the test tubes)
Tools and pliers (in the rack on my rolling cart)
These categories make sense to me but you may want to separate them differently depending on how much you have and how you create. For instance you might like to store them in boxes will all the supplies for a project. Find a way that works for you.
