Another great video, I'll be doing the same tomorrow for my mint CL500, many thanks for that wonderful idea.

I’m jealous. All my viewers have the CL500. I love that car! Just pop the blocks in the trunk. If you fly somewhere, just pop them under the car while the car is parked at the airport, done!

Great video! Just what I was looking for for putting away my W211 E63 AMG for winter.🙏🙏🙏

It’s so simple. I could have saved so much money if I just did this sooner.

Great video!👍 I agree too many people let airmatic suspensions bottom out and that is definitely not good on the struts.. I store my CL550 in the winter months but my father starts it up every 2 weeks or so.

I learned the hard way. Ours died while we were on a cruise. Pop some blocks underneath it. Now that my son is doing college from home, the car is just parked there. I’ve noticed last week as the temp started to cool, the car was lower than usual. No leaks but now it will rest on these blocks when not driven. I’ve done all shocks, don’t wanna do it again.

Turbo Snail yes I’ve noticed cooler temps do make the air ride sag as the air contracts in the internal bags, mine are around 10 years old as it’s a 2009 but you should have a very long time before having to replace them again:).. I know on busses they usually last around 15 years,..

This happens to other vehicles with air ride set ups! The aftermarket systems as well!

It sure does. I’m seems that the Mercedes aftermarket is the cheapest however. :)

I was overthinking it until I saw some stands at a museum. I thought I can do this cheaper.

So you’re saying if I leave my Mercedes Benz cls 550 parked outside longer than a week it could drop ??? Lmk
@Turbo_Snail3 жыл бұрын
If you have a leak, absolutely. One of our shocks had a leak so minor that nothing happened overnight. After 1 week, the darn thing was on the ground. We always block it off now when we leave on vacation.

Is it also recommended to store a long sitting vehicle (put away) with normal suspension? Or is it not necessary?
@Turbo_Snail4 жыл бұрын
If you have regular springs it’s not necessary. But, you would do your tires a favor getting some weight off. After long storage, tires tend to flat spot. I wouldn’t do it however.

It's the cheapest solution I could come up with. Maybe someone can make some beautiful and Mercedes priced stands.
