I pre tie all my leader with snaps on both ends, I rarely tie knots in the boat anymore. I store them in similar way, but with a rubber tackle buddy. When leader gets twisted from trolling, I simply snap another one on. When I was a kid we had many hacks using household containers and products that get thrown away...us boys would learn the tricks form each other. Good video, clever hack.

Good for just bringing the 4 you want to try but too big to fit in any baitbox but good if using a back pack

Do you ever have problems with the tight loops around the foam and lines with memory? My issue with this was that I'd pull the lines off the foam roll and the tight loops in the line would remain. This was particularly troublesome for me with dropper rigs or sabiki rigs.

GREAT IDEA! Any handy suggestions as to how to carry these? What do you keep them in when you are in your boat?
@jonathanl.83115 жыл бұрын
We use a little rubber maid tote to store these depends how many you have.

I put them on a carabiner and you can clip them to the outside of your pack or somewhere in the boat. It’s been working great!

How long can you store them on there? Between trips?

so I have a few crappie rigs in my box. when I'm not using them I just roll them up but when I take one out to use it won't stay strait because they were rolled up. anyone have a idea how to keep them from doing that.

If you can, use a bit of friction from your hand to warm and straighten. The heat and tension pulls the line straight. Best method I've found is to pinch the mono sections between thump and forefinger and pull from the knot to the hook. you should feel the line and ypur fingers get warm. Repeat as needed. Straightens mono like a champ from 4lb to 40lb.
