Here is my leader recipe. Judging by the conditions we most likely will be dealing with for salmon and steelhead this fall, I have elected to build these leaders entirely with fluorocarbon. I am using MetraRail test pound weight for reference to size. This makes a good foundation for You to modify this leader to match your particular fishing conditions. 40 pound 26'' 30 pound 22'' 25 pound 19'' 20 pound 15' 15 pound 12'' 12 pound 12''

Jay does it matter if you mix fluoro carbon and mono so long as the terminal end is fluorocarbon?
