An alternative to Remote Desktop client is to plug keyboard and mouse to steam link box. Don’t worry if the lights for ur keyboard don’t turn on, it’s basic functionality is working. Run Cemu via steam link with steam in big picture mode on your tv using ur game pad connected to steam link. Once Cemu is running on tv press alt+enter on the steam link plugged keyboard and that will enable Cemu menu and you can navigate menu using steam link plugged mouse and set input as advised in this video. Please note that to guarantee the first player controller to work the set controller1 it as xinput wii u game pad. This is because most wii U games only supported wii pro controller after the game was patched. If the ur steam link connected controller is not working on any game is currently running then don’t despair just close Cemu. Cemu will only save settings if you have saved ur controller settings with an actual controller selected from drop down. I usually exit Cemu via guide/home/ps button and exit shortcut provide steam overlay is enabled. Load Cemu again and hopefully ur steam link connected controller will work.

Sorry for commenting on this after a couple years, but some of the menu options are different for the steam link and cemu. I did all the equivalent things (except I didn't need to render upside down), but cemu isn't detecting my controller. Does this work for current versions? Does it require some other setup now?

It may be irrelevant for you by now, but maybe it's usefull for others facing the same issue: Just uncheck the 'start as administrator' checkbox in the properties of the Cemu executable icon.

A little help for controller mapping is to set up team viewer on both host and client pc. That way it's easy to controll your host pc from the clinet pc, and it's a handy program to have installed anyway - I use it all the time to controll one pc from another :)

I have a widescreen monitor and my stream link is connected to a regular ratio monitor, I set Zelda BoTW to regular resolution but it ends up shrinking the game on the my streamed monitor. Any fixes you know of?

I don't understand how you're getting your xbox 360 controller to work with cemu/steamlink... I'm having a difficult time with mines. Is your controller directly connected into the steamlink? i'm assuming its not and that its connected directly to your pc that's running CEMU... because when you go to your input settings, i see it shows your xbox 360 controller in a green square, meaning that its connected.

I followed all steps...and get all running. After playing once, now the Xbox360 Controller isnt recognized by Cemu anymore...(plugged in Steamlink and when i opend Controller Configuration in Cemu the controller isnt there...) I can start the game via steamlink, but then the Screen turns black and stay black, when i look at my PC its loading without Problem. I press ESC on my PC and switching Back to Fullscreen, the picture immediately appear on the TV, but still no control...the day before it works like a charm.. Any Idea?

My steam link freezes when I launch the shortcut. the tv just says loading shader cache. The pc finishes the load but the steam link stays frozen. Even when I reset the steam link it loads back up the frozen status. Any ideas?

This might be a dumb question. But if you stream Cemu games with 4k graphic packs at fullscreen to a 4k TV, will is still be displayed as true 4k if your desktop resolution is set to 1080?

This is awesome! I've always wanted to play use CEMU from my steamlink! However for games such as Super Smash Bros, it won't work too well, because of the black screen bug upon launching. I hope CEMU fixes this bug in there next release

does anyone know if cheatengine can work when playing cemu with steamlink? it is the easiest way for me to correct shrines going double fast in game. If using a PS4 controller and steam w/ link do i even need DS4 or will steam handle controller detection at that point? Also would anyone know how to write a script to launch launch cheat engine and automatically select cemu, and then enable .5 speedhack when a Cemu game is launched through steam? The endgoal is to be able to select my game from steam and everything is corrected without going back to my PC

I can get it to work. The only button that doesn't seem responsive to mapping is the share button on the Dualshock 4. Usually it brings up steam overlay but I disabled that but still thats the only button I can't get to work with Cemu through steam link

I figured it out. Make sure " disable fullscreen optimizations" and " run in administrator" are unchecked in the compatibility options under the shortcut properties. It fixed my problem. Reads as controller 1 now even through Bluetooth through steam link.

Hi, after some tests, i have sometimes a problem with my xbox 360 wireless, controllers don't be recognized everytime i launch, the input of cemu show 4 controllers, i use 2 and 4, for the moment i don't know why my second controller can be done on cemu. If I may ask, are you using an AMD card? I remember seeing some stuff about how AMD cards worked kinda weird with the In Home Streaming. In my case, (I'm using a 1070 by the way) I don't think I turned overlay off, and all I did was follow the steps in this video I think. You might need to go fullscreen, but it's been a while and I don't totally remember.

+Ottomxn Lol, didn't find it offensive at all. Without a doubt, if your PC is close enough to your TV that you can have the controllers work and have the HDMI cable reach, do that instead. However, my PC is upstairs, and my TV is in my basement, so that's not a viable option.
