I was able to get a Honda quad made street legal in AZ, but it came with a title. Off road only. But. It already had a headlight, tail light, and brake light on it. All I had to do was put a horn, mirror, and license plate light on it. They looked it over, and gave me a street legal title, registration, and plate for it. There was a slight hassle with the insurance company. I already had 5 bikes insured with this company. After a few back and forths with the company, I was able to insure it. But there were restrictions. It was still off road only, or dirt road only. Inn AZ, you cannot ride a quad like the one I had on a paved public street, even with a street legal motorcycle plate. It had a solid rear axle, no differential, so the tires could not slip on pavement, which made it too easy to flip over. But I was only interested in riding it on dirt roads anyway. There are a million miles of dirt roads and trails in the southern AZ desert, and national forest roads in the mountains up north, where you cannot ride a non street legal vehicle. I seriously doubt there is a chance of making one of those street legal in AZ. The quad had an actual title and registration to begin with, for "RV" plates.

I remember driving those dirt roads at 100mph in a Cadillac. LOL. Ya Florida will not let you "register" and tag anything marked OHV. But the good deal in florida is insurance is not required for 2 motorcycles

Wish me luck, I’ll be failing at this in California (between the newer laws for EVERYTHING here and how high taxes are in this state I can’t afford to leave here, let alone live here. Truck runs outta gas 1/2 way through the month and my mini bike is my only way to get groceries from the store 13 miles away for my husband, my 2 year old and I) any tips or tricks on how to achieve this in california are more than appreciated, also I know imma get pulled over too, I live in an area where all we have for neighbors seems to be the police and they all take their patrol vehicles home and finish their shifts on the roadsides I have to take 😭

If you add an extra sprocket ⚙️/gear and hooked an alternator to it then added a 12v battery then you should be able to do electrical. Like lights, horns, blinkers, etc

True. The rechargeable batteries are less hassle and easier these days though. Battery runs all those LEDs like a month before I even charge it. They have never went dead on me.

@@GhettoWrenchwhich rechargeable battery do you use? Like one for an e bike or something? I think hooking a stator up would be relatively easy too. Then have the stator around the crank or something and whenever the crank shaft spins it’s sending a charge to the battery.

@buyerenogurlfwendo2106 that ghost 212 has no stator. I used a little battery for a kids power wheels. Just a cheap replacement battery off ebay.

Honestly it's pretty easy once you get rolling. Whatever switch makes the light go on has a + wire from the light going to it. Out the other side is the + wire going to the battery. It's all 12v LED so u can keep touching wired till you get the right results.

So let me get this straight because i am about to buy an Axis M200 which is a bike sold by Lowe's but is pretty much exactly like your Coleman. Same configuration. Anyway, i do want to ocassionally ride the bike on the roads in Florida. (I live in Flagler county). I am getting it mainly to ride around RV parks in Florida and to go to the grocery stores when camping and maybe even ride around the town i am visiting while camping if this street legal thing works.. I don't understand why you had to go through North Dakota to get the ball rolling with the paperwork. Chances are Lowe's will not give me a certificate of origin either (i will ask though) but i guess my question to you is how do you suggest i go about making the bike street legal since i will be buying it at a local store here in St.Augustine ??

Lowes will give you a certificate of origin for sure. They have them in the packet with the mini bike. The prob is Florida does NOT allowed anything classified as "OFF Road" or mini bike (it is under their OHV definition) to be registered for street use. So Florida tags are not an option.

I did. My kid actually bought the bike in New Mexico and didn't have any paperwork. I googled the store number in Santa Fe he bought it at.

Technically yes as it is over 50cc. My registration says 196cc as that is what the certificate of origin said.
