I think it was around 1600lbs of bare bright. I didn't take it all in at once. I cut it into 4-5ft sections with a large greenlee cable shear. I always look up the bare copper weight online to calculate the actual copper weight per foot in insulated wire to know what to pay. You can do math for calculated length or a resistance test on reeled wire/cable.@@scrapitall200

Your yard is ripping you off if they don’t call both the bare wire in your 2 examples bare bright. Guarantee they are reselling both of them as that. Find a new yard. It all gets remelted and doesn’t matter to their buyers buyer...Even brand new single core bare bright depending on the manufacturer comes more reddish brand new instead of the light reddish shiny color, and it’s still bare bright. You need to lean on your yard or find a new one for the bare bright if not bud, they are taking advantage....I’d just save it if were you....I sell my 1&2, but keep ALL my bare bright in giant totes as part of my “stack”(I buy gold/silver bullion to stack and save NEVER sell and same with free bare bright I NEVER sell any...)

Now, you only need to run through another 45 lbs. to pay for the stripper... I have no problem stripping; its the finding the wire that is the challenge. At least now I know how the machine works.
