Wow, this is incredible. I think I'll start analysing bar by bar like this rather than every four bars, I think it could help me. I have some problems fitting lyrics smoothly into four bars, I think I should zoom in to ones. Using the metronome to check where your lyrics land is helpful as well. I can also see how this method could enable one to make some very complicated rhyme schemes if they were so inclined. Thanks so much for this tutorial as always, Cole. Alis ✌️

Thanks so much for your kind words Alis! It's always greatly appreciated it! Yes!! I always like to say, 'The way you eat an elephant is one small piece at a time'. I'm a big fan of breaking things down into small pieces to help me understand everything as a whole much better. I'm so happy this was helpful to you Alis! I hope you get much use out of it! Keep up the great work sis! 😎✌️ - Cole Mize

The only thing I have had trouble grasping was this and u just created a lesson and worksheet that could teach a toddler how to do it. So appreciative for ur time and effort in all this.💯🙌🤟

Set up a rack separate to the instrumental in your DAW and record. I've found Cole's advice to record four bars at a time to be most helpful so I make two tracks - verse lead A and verse lead B. I record first four bars on A and second four bars on B and continue like that. I hope that helps you.

One big issue I’ve been noticing is I have trouble finding the structure to a song. I can structure my lyrics so they fit the beat but I can’t seem to figure out where to put my chorus and my verses
@JunyL4 жыл бұрын
listen to the beat ,usually the chorus part has more instruments playing at same time,in the verse some instruments are taken away

Does every rapper like kendrick jay z do this,like is this like a must do that without it the verse sounds unstructured?

tell me if i already recorded my rap properly in beat why do i even need to write my rap on bar sheet ?? did not make any sense pls tell me how to fit every pockets in beat ????? or finding every pocket in beat or what does pocket even means ????
@ColeMizeStudios5 жыл бұрын
Great question Dark! If you already love the way your flow and rhymes are all sounding, and you have no issues with breathing, and you can easily remember everything, then you don't need to do this at all. But for me personally, I prefer structuring my lyrics as I'm writing because it helps me perfect my verse much more quickly. But do what works best for you! If it aint broke...don't fix it! lol! Thanks for watching and commenting! 😎✌️ - Cole Mize

Your lyrics are not your instrument. Your body is. Just like a singer. It's not your lungs. It's your diaphragm and how you control it.
