This tutorial can completely transform the way you create songs. Trimming instrumentals and analysing an instrumental's song structure are both really important things to be able to do, however, the most valuable thing I have learned is how to utilise the grid! Once you learn how to use the grid and playing around with lyrics and your rough recordings to fit them into 2 and 4 bars, it is like creating magic! Thanks so much Cole, your teaching has enabled me to make songs. Alis :)

I just think you should know that I started spitting my own rhymes 5 months ago. The degree to which both my understanding of music production and also my overall passion for the culture has been enhanced 100 fold. I would confidently attribute about 80% of said success to you and you alone, sir. I gotchu on that televised Grammy shoutout for sureee whenever i blow, Sensei! Appreciate you man real talk.

I started rapping. Then I moved to production. Now am learning both but focus on composition, arrangement and production at the moment. But thanks for explaining this.

All of them are great daws it’s just Pro Tools in studio standards supposedly. I use to use Fl back when it was fruity loops 3 and then went to using all of them. I stick to Logic, Reason, Pro Tools, Studio one. I love them all but fine myself on reason more for production and logic/pro tools for recording. I really use hardware synth cause I think the sounds more rich and love using my hands. The mouse stuff is a pain in the rear.
Now I can extend a beat where the second verse was cut in half with no hook thanks again
