How to strut on roller skates

I just realised that I’ve been so focussed on completely crossing my legs together and that is why I’ve been so wobbly and can’t keep my momentum going. I can’t wait to try that pause technique you mentioned in this video :)

OMG! I NEVER comment on KZbin, but I just have to say thank you! I’ve been struggling with Strut walk for the past 5 months. I’ve watched so many videos but nothing was working. I would say I’m pretty good and strut walk should be one of the things I can do… Anyways, I watched your video for just a few minutes and I’m now doing it.

this was helpful, thank you! regardless of whether i try going backwards or doing it in place, i just lose all momentum after five or six steps. i'm really struggling to keep it going. I'm not sure if that just means i'm not on enough of an edge?

Not sure where I go wrong. I keep the v position and put the one foor forward and pause. Weight on back leg. Go to pull front one back but I still manage to go forward. Cannot seem to pull back. I get stuck and my weight goes to the middle with one leg front and one behind. I can do it very wobbly if I have my hand resting on something. So, I guess my question is how to pull the front leg backwards. Even with the rear foot in an angle, the rear foot moves forward
