I fell and had a tailbone injury too. On Amazon I got the Soared 3D Protection Hip Butt EVA Paded Short Pants Protective Gear Guard. I fell with these on and didn''t feel a thing. However my head snapped back but I was wearing a helmet as well. It was a cheap and did not give much protection because I felt the pain from that too. I then ordered a better helmet. Also ordered a skate mate to hold on to while practicing. I'm through skating if I can't do it with the help of these items. Just wanted to let you know that the paded short pants will protect your bottom.

I learned to skate as a little kid back in the 80s. I would skate for hours in the neighborhood or at the skating rink. It never occured to me how to explain how to do it. Your video is excellent!!! I was trying to teach my little kids how to skate but i was all over the place and just kind of showing them what i do instead of giving good tips or actual advice. Dear Dasia, I have been wanting to skate for some time now. I was sheltered as a child. Lonely and never learned more than bikes and scooters. With increase in popularity online I wanted to learn to skate so I could have some lovely new way to groove to music and express myself. I finally went to the skate shop and ordered my skates but it'd take two weeks to come in. During my inspiration time while waiting I watched this video. I practiced the movements and wondered if it'd really be that simple. Well. I threw everything in my car, got to the abandoned basketball court I'd had my eye on for a month as I debated possibilities and I stood up. Practiced and I did it!! I was gliding along with you. I was even turning around using the v and when I went a little too fast I just fell back into that v with the tight thigh and slowed myself. Even if I accidentally felt like I'd be going backward I remembered your words. It was a magical first experience and it was only my first 15 minutes on skates! Here I thought I'd be on my butt in two seconds but your instructions and helpful tips in these and other videos inspired me and enlightened me that it's kind of like riding a horse. Something I have much knowledge in. Once I understood that It all seemed to click. Thank you. Thank you so much for these videos. You are an angel and I am so grateful for your content. i’ve been reteaching myself how to skate after having not done it since i was a kid! i’m now allowing myself about 6 feet of clearance after getting my balance down with the moving my weight side to side thing. i was always great with my balance this is just so new. i’m using my leg muscles to pull me backward after i go to the edge. after i get a little more comfortable it’ll be learning to turn around. thank you so much for taking the time to post videos like these.

This is the best how to roller skate video I have seen!! My family and I have recently been going to our local skating rink every Sunday for four weeks now. The last time we went I got so discouraged because after 36 years of not skating I completely forgot how to and I fell really hard on my but, almost knocked the breath out of me. You’re amazing! I’m almost 60 and I used to skate as a teen all the time. I loved it. I’ve had health problems and and trying to get back into shape now that I’m doing better. I got new skates and learned that skating isn’t like riding a bike! I had forgotten how to balance (partly age related balance issues). I’m spending 10-15 min a day and am at the pixie duck walk and not quite balanced enough to glide. I’m doing this in kind of a physical therapy style. I know I will be gliding in the next few days! I went to a skating rink with my friend today. My first time skating EVER and I wanted to cry because as my friend was gliding the rink and everyone else gliding all gracefully to the music I was along the wall trying desperately to leaen. I must have been trying for over an hour and towards the end I started to feel like I was getting it. But Still not quite sure of the right way. But watching this video you made it so clear I wish I saw this before I went. My whole body is sore now and it would have saved me so much time 😭 thank you so much for this video. First off, You’re beautiful and Idk if those are Locs but ❤. Secondly, thank you for this video. My skates have been sitting for over a year now..I only attempted to use them once and never came back to them. But with your help I was able to skate 2 laps around the tennis court in my neighborhood. Felt so accomplished and helped me through tough times I’m going through. AHHH TYSM! I went roller skating for the second time ever yesterday, and... it was kinda a flop. My legs are still sore lol. But my mom is planning on getting me some for my birthday maybe, so I can practice! 😊 Edit: I just finished the video and WOAH! This is way less complex than I thought lol I can’t wait to get my new pair of skates and start trying :)
