I set 1 hour of study time per day, every day. I've obtained 9 tech certifications in the span of 3 years, most notably the AWS DevOps Pro (a very difficult exam). The advice given in this video is pretty much the methods that I've used to obtain my certifications. Practice exams are a great way to measure your progress. And yes, the training should be harder than the real exam. Though in case of AWS DevOps Pro, the exam was harder than the practice ones that I purchased, but I did my best and I passed by the skin of my nose :)

Moreover, how does one find time to study every day? If you work in the tech industry, just use your time at work (I worked at a service desk and I used the downtime that comes with that). Tell your manager outright about your self-learning plans and you can justify taking time at work to obtain your tech certifications. Or create some personal study notes and read them over and over again on your cell phone. A few minutes here and there throughout the day eventually adds up to an hour and even more.

Thank you so much, I needed the pick me up. You guys are great and I am now going to study a lot more. I'm taking my CCNA on May 3rd so I have a little less than a month left of study time so it is critical I get to studying a lot more than I have been. Again, thank you ITProTV!

Psychology tests have shown that people consistently choose the learning method that feels easiest but have the longest retention when the choose the learning method that feels the hardest.

Interesting points. Seems like there's benefits of pushing out of your comfort zone when choosing a learning method. Maybe combining study methods is most effective? Appreciate you sharing!
