Love Udemy! I'm taking a course on there right now for coding and loving it. I'm 4 months in. Completed HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and now learning JavaScript( which is kicking my butt lol). I am going to be full stack developer one day! I have disciplined my self to where it has become a habit of coding everyday. Motivation is "feel" like doing it, Discipline is actually doing it. Thank you for all the inspiration Tiff!

Working on a project your passionate about is one of if not the best piece of advice! In my final year of university I worked on an NLP/Machine Learning project for my dissertation. It was daunting at first. But I centred my project around politics as it was my first real passion before development. I was motivated to work on the project everyday as I was excited about what I was trying to deliver. Passion is truly critical to success in this industry. It will put you ahead of the curve in terms of learning real practical skill. It will also boost your chances at securing your dream role in the industry. Discovered this channel today. Subbed! Love your videos.

Once again thank you so much for the video and awesome content, you will never know how much your videos motivate me to keep going. At age 42 and being in IT for most of my life I decided to try Web Development. I am 60% through the Udemy Web Development Bootcamp 2021 and what works for me is to mix things up. I do one module of the Bootcamp, and then I follow one youtube tutorial and build a game or an app, and then one module again and repeat the process. This seems to be working for me and keeps me interested and motivated. If I only stick to the boring parts of learning I will never be able to finish this course.

I finally got the space and resources to start doing fun stuff at work ob the clock that keep me learning and everything I had no time for learning just gets soaked up easier now. Still baby steps but that they wouldn't have expected of me anyways. So that's a good motivation and relates to my actual coding projects at home even if I don't have time for those still. Still can make steps that help make my job easier. Some people might not appreciate these kind of skill building tip advice videos wanting tutorials but really they are filled with grounding advice that help in the complicated real work of business when your brain might be too tired, you feel stuck on what is more of a social dynamic problem than the technical problem itself, the opportunity just isn't easily apparent or comfortable stuck in the daily grind.

Hi dear Tiff, I love your videos. Regarding to all these tips that you shared with us, I think definitely the best way to learn technical things among you said, is apply tha you are studying in real projects, and it's very simple to explain because when you are doing a real project you are mandatoried to consider much more things to get a good result, and this allows to you improve in large steps over that you are learning. Post: You are beautiful day by day, beautiful and intelligent.

- - - Summary - - - 1) Learn just enough - Quantity over quality. Choose your learning ressources wisely by reading reviews beforehand. 2) Apply your skills to real world objects 3) Work on objects you're personally passionate about - e.g. Tiff builds projects related to beauty 4) have accountability - Ensure to tell one or two people. Don't spread it too wide though. At least one of those people is yourselfSet reminders and stick to them. 5) Find a community - Don't do everything alone. Learn from others. Go meet other people. 6) Explain things to others. - You only fully understand when you can explain your learnings to others.
