I love sweater dresses in winter with fleece leggings and sneakers or casual short boots. It gets really cold in CO in winter! Good to know your tips for adding the right jackets. Thanks Nada!

You influenced me to buy several dresses for spring-autumn that I live and wear often, but I don’t know if I’ll be wearing winter dresses though. I have been unsuccessful finding a flattering sweater dress so far. I have a few skirts I might pull out and wear with cashmere sweaters, jackets and boots. I can see that. One is a brown, midi suede and the other is a green and brown plaid with an asymmetrical fringed hem. They are +10 years old but seem to hit the trends both for color, fabric and style. It’s just nasty, cold here in Minnesota!

I have fleece leather-look leggings over which I layer merino wool legwarmers, a la Flashdance. Then knee-high boots with the legwarmers going over my knee. Not only does it keep my legs warm, it's a bit sexy and kinda cool-looking. As for sweater dresses, they are the only dresses I want to wear in winter. And I can still wear the fleece leggings and tll boots under the midis and maxis. Thanks for this.

Nada, does Lilysilk offer petite styles? I have seen some of your beautiful things from there, but I am not able to find any petite listings. I notice they offer custom sizing for an extra $30, but I’m not sure if that would solve the problem since there’s quite a difference between a petite fit and a regular fit. I am like you, 5’2” with a full bust. I am just ordering my first blouses from them this year. I’m getting a white/ivory (light neutral) and a navy blue (dark neutral). These will be my very first silk blouses. I expect to use them for the rest of my life since I am 75. I just really need some size guidance. Please help!

Please let us know how you like your blouses. I'm leary of ordering them because I also have a large bust, and I'm afraid of pulling or gaping between the buttons. Usually, if a blouse fits me in the shoulders, it's too tight across my bust. 😢
