I've been to some some high end salons and paid a lot of money to get a horrible hair cut before. For some reason hair stylist always want to cut in layers even when I'm very clear that layers do not work for me and my thin hair and just cut them in anyway. It always ends up maki g my hair look thinner and choppy.

I never thought about parting my hair in the middle to give it more volume on both sides! Usually I just part it on one side and flip it over. Thanks for the tip, Melissa! The lob definitely suits you.

I've had a cut like yours since May - it was such a huge change because I always had long, waist length hair. I'm so self conscious about it not looking good cause most girls on campus have really pretty, long hair. I also don't have time to style my hair every time I wash it because I'm a student, but after watching your tutorial I definitely feel more confident since your styled hair basically looks like my unstyled hair (except your hair is much shinier than mine). This is my next hair cut. I have the length close enough but I did the shorter in back/longer in front before and LOVED it. Granted, it was really short in back but I like this so much better. Unfortunately, my hair is incredibly thin and never gets this kind of volume but I am going to try. Love it! And I have to echo what others have said about the color. I have nothing against highlights but this shade is perfect. I like dimension to hair, and shine of course, but sometimes highlights are just too, too much. One shade works beautifully on you.

the cool button also closes the cuticle of your hair shaft and locks in moisture. which is why you (are supposed to!) shampoo with warm water and rinse conditioner with cool water. that's also why it helps to keep it smooth, bc it is locking in the style. (and you should never use hot water on your hair either for moisture/dryness purposes! warm/lukewarm is as 'hot' as you should go!) I am a hairstylist btw! and this is a great hair tutorial. I just discovered your videos and not only are you absolutely stunning, you are informative, detailed and have great content! definitely a new subscriber right here, and I'm hitting the bell so I can be notified every time u upload!!! 😂 p.s. I have the exact same haircut, I just cut 10" off 2 weeks ago too!

I have this exact hair style rn and I loveeee it but I don't know how to style it besides straightening with a slight under curl inwards. This is exactly what I needed! When I got a lob I got two inches of dead ends from constantly having to heat style it in order to get it to look the way I want. So my hair never grew because it would always have to be cut off. Versus to when it was long and didn't need much heat styling and could be worn natural

I have a similar cut, but a bit shorter all the way around, and I have the back undercut. I find blow-drying my hair about 80% and then going in with my big round brush on low heat (I still have to do it in 3 layers, even with the undercut!), makes my stands SO much smoother and less poofy!! I have silvery lavender hair, which has been bleached a few times, and this helps to keep it soft and smooth. I also love your twirl technique when you curl your hair, except I use it with my fat iron! I can't be bothered to plug in both, either;)😘

mine used to take forever also but if you do scalp massages daily and take vitamins it helps! Now mine grows super fast, Ive also heard that Castor oil works well for hair growth!

I've seen people growing their hair real fast by using them in seminars .. even it helped some people who started to get bald grow some hair back .. like magic my brother is using them right now too .. If you do this and use mousse while your hair is damp before blow drying, either pull up or forward while styling for volume and make it seem thicker. And after you curl your hair use a dry shampoo or the texture spray she used at you roots and flip your head over and rub it into your scalp. I have finer hair and I just cut it to this length it looks awful straight and flat and trust me when I do this it looks like I have a set of full thick extension in!

Holly Miller It really depends on the oil. I don't think it'd matter w/ a blow dryer, but putting coconut oil on your hair before flat ironing it would be a no. It'd basically fry your hair!
