I have TB's IRRESISTIBLE in a few shades and I noticed that the fibers of the light red are substantially softer and easier to manage than the other colors.

Isn’t that strange! I wonder…maybe the concentration of dye? For instance dark fabrics are heavier than lighter colors. I use to own a fabric store and had to weight the fabric bolts for inventory counting!

I love this wig and I love her on you…especially in that color. One bit of advice from a curly hair woman, do NOT run a comb…even wide tooth or even a picker your fingers…through it anywhere. It only creates frizz and an unruly, misshapen, “too much hair” look. You can’t loosen these curls without frizzing, etc. Unless you use your fingers at the roots/cap only, and from underneath the “hair” but on outer side of the cap…as in bending over to get to the underside of hair at-cap. With this wig, I would first give it a good long, long shake upside down. Then once applied, if it’s possible to bend over, use your finger tips and quick-shake at the “roots”, all over the top, crown and top of the sides…keeping finger tips as close to the cap as possible. Like you’re shampooing the scalp and using fingertips to gently scrub it in little quick, scratching motions. This loosens up the base of the wig style, which should help to give a more relaxed look to the overall style. If it’s not possible to bend over and gently shake the roots, perhaps do this before applying…however you can. Do not do this below the high midpoint of the style or you will create too much volume at the bottom of the wig. As you can tell, I’ve not worn wigs before, but I’m seriously looking into it now and trying to learn the basics. So far, with this wig and others like it, I’ve seen every one of the reviewers wide-tooth comb through it and rake fingers through it, and pull on the curls, and similar in an effort to loosen those curls…and they all ended up frizzed, fuller/fatter, and misshapen. Oh, and since I’m not experienced with wigs, I’m not positive my advice to loosen at the base will work with a wig. It may be better to do it with a wide tooth pick…again, only at the “roots” and from underneath/upside down if possible. Keep the fingers and tools out of the rest of the hair, except to try to arrange front/bangs to your liking. But do that carefully by picking up pieces of hair and moving them, while loosening the “roots” at that section with your other hand. If frizz occurs, link that frizzed piece of hair with its main curled piece and wind it around your finger to try to rejoin them and make the frizz smooth out. And if a section of “hair” is sticking out too far, use straight fingers to gently push it back in place and then gently scrunch. I sure hope this helps and I apologize if this technique does not apply to wigs, due to how they’re made. I will be finding out soon enough.
