I combine dyes in order to make a darker, richer black. The easiest way is Brown and Navy blue dye, but I use Red, Green and Blue. I always eyeball my dyes so I can't tell you the exact ratio.

Long bloomers under shorter skirts/longer tops is such a good idea! I have some dresses that are a little too short for me to be comfortable wearing without tights so I've been trying to figure out how to wear them in summer, and bloomers might do the trick!
@GaliadelaRosa2 жыл бұрын
Bloomers are expected to return to mainstream fashion this year! Of course in those not so cute versions that look more like frilly shorts of the 2010s but whatever (maybe some people still have some of those in their closets and can give them a second run) I have been wanting to make some bloomers to wear as undergarments but your outfits are very inspiring to use them as outerwear too, thanks!

ahhh! i love bloomers - they look like such a cute little garment and some long bloomers/pumpkin pants feel like they'd make a more androgynous lolita style outfit. i've been itching to get some. this is such a helpful video!

I wear pj shorts as my underwear, sometimes they are very long pj shorts, almost peeking out from under my skirts. Bloomers seem like a logicall continuation for this fashion choice, so thank you for the patterns. I can't wait till I'll walk around wearing folk skirt, bloomers, binder and silly tshirt (no boobs, powerful hips).

What a fun lookbook! Even though they didn't come out the color you wanted, I really like the look of the charcoal bloomers, and they looked amazing with the Gunne Sax bodice. I also really liked that first ott outfit with the strawberry bloomers--that strawberry cap headpiece wins me over every time!

I'd like to wear bloomers more often but because they don't match the overall style of my wardrobe it's quite difficult to wear them as much as I'd like. That being said, the outfits you did with the black and pink bloomers match the things I already have and are pit together in a way I don't remember seeing before. I'll definitely try styling my clothes like that! Thank you so much for making this video 💞✨

One of my favourite things to sew is similar to bloomers, but they're full length pants. Like a sweatpants pattern, but out of thin cotton. I don't like a lot of the hyperfeminine look of lolita, but this style is something I could get behind. Especially where I often have to wear compression socks, the longer ones could be a good style that would work for me for summer. I'll have to go make some.

I haven't even started the video but I wanted to let you know I finally purchased a FashionBrandCompany Sex House Sweater!! I've been pining over the different releases for like a year since you introduced them in a video and I finally secured one! It's a resale because I was in love with the 'rainy day' release and it sold out before I could get one but I'm so excited, thank you for being a sustainable style inspiration! Your content has really helped me develop my personal style and do so as sustainably and DIY as possible, I'm a huge fan!

love this video! I have had a pair of pastel yellow polka dot bloomers with frills and heart pockets (originally bought for fairy kei) since ~2013 but they get very little wear despite that I love bloomers! They're so short and So Poofy since they're made of thick fabric, hopefully this video will help me coord them again.

I love this! It's super nice to see so many different styles of outfits, and especially the darker colors. My style is quite different from yours, but I always love what you have to say about building outfits, and your style in general. I've been thinking about making a pair of historical split drawers (which may or may not actually split), a la Bernadette Banner's combinations, but never knew how I would actually style them. This has definitely got me thinking, and I may actually do it this year!

Your comments on outfit 14 remind me of Ian Malcom from the Jurassic Park novel. He states that he only wears black and grey so that he's always co-ordinated and not having to worry about what he grabs from the closet. Love the video and how much you are able to repurpose clothing that would otherwise have been thrown out. Amazing how I can miss 1 video, and the algorithm decides to not list you. You haven't been on my feeds in 6 months or more. Keep up the good work.

To make it more confusing; some older GLBs and Gosurori mooks refer to bloomers as "drawers" sometimes, usually for shorter bloomers but not consistently so. This use of the word never caught on in the english speaking lolita community because of already existing connotations. So bloomers were the preferred term for both longer and shorter bloomers. Outfit 9 and 15 are my favorites. When showing off long bloomers I like the idea of wearing a short lolita dress (ala meta Trumpet Sleeve Babydoll OP) or a shorter sack dress with them. RRM bloomers; Holy moly you got sent 128 pound bloomers! Even factoring in that they pay their staff a living wage and source their materials sustainably I don't personally think those are worth the price. I mean back in the day when Btssb was still making their stuff in japan their bloomers were 8000~9000 yen, which would be roughly 9600yen today. It makes no sense to me why someone would buy the RMM ones. They look worse (imo) and are more expensive than brand bloomers, and this is an item that receives considerably more wear and tear than dresses, skirts and blouses. If someone didn't want to buy brand because of sustainability they could still buy secondhand, but then some people consider buying second hand bloomers "gross" or they may not fit into brand bloomers. If that is an issue the most sustainable ways would be to make some yourself, perhaps even from fabric you already have or a skirt that you can upcycle.
