I've had my booths for about 4 years and have had a good deal of success with furniture and large items, but I've always struggled with the smalls. I just learned more in 26 minutes than I've picked up on my own in 4 years. THANK YOU!!!

I’m a new subscriber and I’m so grateful for finding this channel. The information you provided put everything together for me. I’ve been unsuccessful in my flea market booth and was thinking of giving up but a piece of me knows I can turn this around to be a success. I’m going to get motivated, go through my ton of boxes and set my booth up for success. Thank you for sharing. Backstory: I’m a veteran and through my therapist we came up with this flea market idea to prevent me from isolating and to get me socializing. I really enjoy being a reseller.

Wow! First off, thank you for your service! Second, I am humbled to be able to serve you on your journey! So excited for you to see what you can make of your business in this new year 😊

This is great! Congratulations on finding something new that you enjoy and will bring you out of your comfort zone allowing for some healthy socialization! I can absolutely relate. Since covid shutdown and quarantine I have had such a difficult time reintroducing myself into social situations. I shop, shop, and shop some more. I resell online, but I've been horrible at keeping up. I know that I crave the interaction because I will talk to anyone at a thrift store or yard sale! I will start setting up my very first booth on Wednesday to be ready for customers on Friday! I'm excited but nervous! Seeing your comment is very encouraging! I hope it's working well for you! I can't begin to imagine life in the military or the effects it has on so many service members like yourself! We do not appreciate you all nearly enough, and we certainly do not take responsibility for so many who need a little, or even a lot, of help figuring things out once their service has ended. Thanks for what you sacrificed, and I hope you are successful in all of your endeavors, especially the ones that bring you joy! Isolation can get really ugly! I should remind myself of this much more often, but there's far too much magic in the world to hide away from it!

With your new series of bringing people on to talk about their booths I would love to see other types of booths I know antiques is the focus of the channel and I love it but I think it would be cool to see others who do paintings or jewelry and other creative things to see how they decorate their booths!!

🌺 I wish the manager where I have my booth would watch this video. She always tells me to take out greeery, flowers, and things that she calls fillers. She says she only wants antique items. But there are so many booths that don’t have any antique’s in them. They are filled with things like (the black & white quotes). It drives me crazy because I like to make my booth look fun, & stage my items the way I would display in my own home. Thank You for another great video 😁

I would respectfully disagree with your mall Owner :)
@robertacomeau65042 жыл бұрын
Within my shop what worked for me was "merchandising by color." Customers viewing multiple items had interests in cataleptic vignettes and additional purchases. I also had one vocal point, merchandised with "fluffy accents" to soften visually. I designed my products utilizing vintage soft good finds, jewelry, bridal dresses and embellishments. Holiday seasons were displayed in front of two windows of a Victorian home, vintage furniture displays were white, including a faux fireplace. My Christmas tree handmade elegant ornaments on display through the year . . . sold many off season especially during my "Christmas in July". I've been designing/selling since 1957 and still do. Enjoy your inspiring videos and tips, thank you.

Thanks for sharing your tips on how to display items in an interesting way - that was awesome - yes, cluttering is not the way to display your items you want to sell - presentation is a draw card of interest to customers looking to buy even plants or books along with an eye-catching item is a sale. Not that I would ever have a booth, who knows,0 but it was interesting all the same.

Your aesthetic and your generosity are greatly appreciated! I was in a new local antique mall and selected three beautiful items, but I went home empty-handed: no labels or prices! So sad...many other lovely things were buried too deep for me to retrieve, and I did not want to, once again, ask the staff to get something for me that was not priced. Question regarding fluff/filler plants: are yours real or fake? Either way, they soften things and look lovely!😊

Hi Jeanne! That’s great that you have gotten compliments on our displays! There could be a few things going on as far as sales go… are you in a booth that fits your target customer? Any suggestions for booth with limited space? My booth is mostly pegboard and can't be more than 4 inches in depth.
@LostFoundDecor Жыл бұрын
Find a niche and stick with it. With that small of a space, I would pick a certain type of item and to all in, like art or vintage jewelry or other small items you can package flat and hang (maybe fabric, vintage lace, vintage papers, etc). If you can get “known” for an item you’re little space will be the place people come back to over and over again when they need more, and they’ll be able to tell their friends too.

When you use greenery filler in boxes cans or whatever .. is that part of what they pay or do you take out when they purchase? Hope that makes sense.

They’re a ton of work! But can be a great way to connect with customers face to face and build that longer term relationship :) It is still helpful to give your booth a cohesive “look”, and make sure you have a wide range of prices available.
