I absolutely love that embossed bowl for $1. I would have grabbed for sure. I love silver plated items and salt shakers. Love crystal too. Loving your ideas. I took some of the oval n round trays and did beautiful Christmas scenes for our church bazaar. I seriously think we Southern ladies really appreciate the silver and crystal items. I did arrangements for my church in old silver bowls but I didn’t leave them there. Lol

I use my Coffee pot as my toothbrush and toothpaste caddy, on top of a beautiful silver tray, worth cotton balls and q-tips in the silver sugar and creamer cups.

I loved collecting old silverware, much easier to find about 20 years ago. The sugar spoon was actually called a sugar shell, because of the shape of the bowl. You always share such good ideas, thank you!

I have a collection of old silver pieces and pitchers and usually use them for Christmas decor. You have given me several ideas for year-round use... I would make a Christmas wreath for my dining room using silver flat wear, the small Christening baby cups, small cream pitchers, sugar bowls. The silver is so pretty mixed with greenery and tiny lights. Edit. I just heard about your booth! I live in Athens. I will be going to Rogersville tomorrow to see your booth!!! I am so excited!!!

I had found some beautiful lids once and put them on my wall, opposite my front door. Every time I came in it looked like hubcaps. I ended up taking them down but maybe I could have styled them more. 😅

Some good ideas here, thanks, but I love to shine my silver so it gleams, showing my age I guess, one of my childhood chores was to clean the silver, so to me tarnished silver just looks dirty. Loving your jewellery tray, they make lovely embellishments.

I HAD to make some of the silver plated trays & other items so I went thrifting. I bought several lovely pieces but I also found a large oval tray with an acanthus design. I paid $8 & it’s actually a Wilson Armetale pewter tray! I looked at a set of china tea cups w/saucers only bc I loved the colors. For $11, I bought 3 sets w/2 extra saucers marked OCCUPIED JAPAN! I was thrilled and it’s all thanks to you! 💕

Ides for silver PC's...or can use casserole w handles & feet for original purpose I think for beautiful presentation of casserole dish on buffet or table to serve.......I think fits standard pyrex glass casserole....I think mine was my Mom's ..when she was with Daddy 😔all the lovely PC's she got as wedding gifts.💚

idea: if you’re applying a printed photo to a tarnished tray you can edit the picture to a warm sepia tone. i love the solawood flowers, they’re so shabby vintage looking and last forever.

I have one of those rectangular chafing dishes - last year, my husband put some wood pieces in the bottom of it so that it will be a holder for books. I love buying those old silver pieces too. Those silver plated trays in Goodwill where I live cost between $15 @ $30. Our Goodwillis so overpriced.

Sounds like goodwill here in S.Calif. Silver plate water pitchers $20-$30. Even broken or rusty ones. Platters $15+. They even have the gall to charge $7/8 for the silver (plastic?) platters that come from the $1dollar store. 😂 They don't sell sets together 😟. They sell each sugar creamer separately for about $10!. They had a silver plate spatula for $8. I said, "What?!!" out loud.. but bought it anyway cuz I loved the shape. Lol. It's crazy.

I am not a fan of all white chippy farm house (fugly farmhouse but love vintage silver. Many of these ideas could be reinterpreted in English and French country interiors for a more paired down less cluttered look.

Cake server I have one your is so pretty u found older than mine......🦋oh I Love the brush & mirror ....had a sterling one!!! Several yrs ago got w my sister in Antiques Shop it was only $50 & beveled BEAUTIFUL .I used it ...girl I put my face on with at my antique vanity . Girl do you know I pawned it & Lost it 😔😓....well can't believe it let it go ..but I guess at time no $$$ ....well I've found another one!! It was even cheaper! Love the Ole silver Teresa...I thought u had some real old PC's in that bag!!!,I collect "sugar shells" ( scalloped spoons ) what did u call them I'm typing this ..j Haha plus butte knifes too I have ,3 sterling ones I use ever day !! Yes love it .I have my great g MoMA ,s& p shakers thick sml glass .I'd climb up on counter & look in " china shelves doors on othersidse of kitchen Mom & Gmom rarely opened it even " smelled old just to open it! I'd prowl around up there & just look at neat old things ...must of been Gmoms Mom's or in law or sisters I have some of those now like the s& p shakers tops w holes points like a little bullets so pretty but so old salt coroded a little . U find the NEATEST stuff sweety!!!
