Dear friends despite all my efforts the sound is slightly out at the beginning. If you skip to 4min 23 you get to the outfit part which is fine. I'm so sorry. Xx

Absolutely such thruth in this vlog. I'm much older than you and it's only in recent years that I dress for myself and am proud of what I make. Certainly "the feeling " is very real. Thanks again. Wonderful vlog as always 😊

Thank you so much for this. Love the purple outfit best. I wore a different greens outfit yesterday because I'd made them. Just held my head high and strutted all day.

Wow, how elucidating, to abandon the ‘flattering’ standard for ‘feeling like myself’🙂. So well put. My favorite favorite outfit is Day 4, the pastel yellow rainbow circles long sleeve tee with the to-dye-for 😉 lavender/lilac trousers. Lavender or any purple that goes towards the blue 👍. And this particular lavender is heart stoppingly perfect. Thanks for making and sharing. 💜💙💜

One of the first things I sewed as an adult didn't have big enough seam allowances for the fabric, which wanted to fray to death. I had either zig-zagged or pinked it, but it didn't matter because I wore it to work and... it proceeded to fray off my body all down the side seams! I was sitting at my desk between meetings desperately fixing seams by hand before I had to stand up again. I feel for you in the moment of realizing the Seasons of East dress had a hole!

It's when you think you've done a good job and your sewing is like nope just going to remind you that you are flawed lol.

Great vlog as always I think we all make items wear them then find an imperfection. Your outfits really suit you. Love the Chanterelle pants ❤️❤️

I agree so much with you about wearing clothes that make me feel like me, or feel good about myself. I think whatever size or shape you are, finding the right clothes for your body is all about the fit! If it fits well, then regardless of colour, shape or style, then it can work on any body. In saying this i think everyone has their favourite styles that they find suits their body more than others. Go for it ladies and gents! 💜

Love all your outfits, but I think the one hour top and lilac trouser was my favourite. Love the one hour top pattern, cut my fifth one out yesterday. I’ve made a couple of pairs of the Chanterelle in a heavier fabric, I sized down a bit with my second pair and found that a better fit for me. As you say jersey can be smart or casual depending on how you style it.
@sequingirlieАй бұрын
Thank you Angela. Hmm sizing down would change the fit. Interesting.

I love your videos and your style! I’ve made several pairs of Free Range Slacks - they’re my TNT. The instructions to stitch down that short channel at the top of the pockets is at 1h on page 12. I’ve also never had the problem of tiny access to the pocket as you showed in the pants video. Maybe a misinterpretation around the waistband ? Thanks so much for your deep dives into various garments - I particularly loved the quilted jackets video

Thank you so much. Yes in the pants video I had definitely done something wrong with sewing the pocket part. I like to share my failures too, keeping it real. Thanks for the page number of where I had missed the instructions. Glad ur enjoying my vlogs xxx

LOVE the chambray pants 😃 I need to do a trouser finding journey too. I wear ready to wear jeans most of the time but have upped my skills this year so am beginning to think that I just may attempt to make a pair 🤔 Like your viewer, I never feel “put together” in jersey either. Perhaps it’s just the jersey I’m choosing.

Oh yes go for it. I've done a whole vlog about trousers and there will be an update soon x

I’ve made 3 pairs of free range and I love them. I don’t have that issue. I will have a read and see whether I can work it out for you. I actually love the pockets. The first part of your vlog was out of sync but that was ok I just listened

Thank you and also thanks for letting me know about the sound. How frustrating xxx

@@sequingirlie this is the bit you need to do …. 1 h. Secure the top of the pocket opening through all the layers by stitching on top of the existing stitching from the top waist to the slight corner or bend. Repeat on second pocket. It’s on page 12 However… I note that on my first pair I didn’t do that. Easy to miss
