I have a love hate relationship with Easy Subli. I have made a bunch of shirts with it. Just a note, the more white you have in your design, the more chance it will look dingy later. I never could get the heat transfer mask to work coincidently enough. I did get a different heat transfer mask from Siser to work, but the Siser heat transfer mask that came with it just never worked for me. I used the Parchment paper trick to put the design on it and then tacked it afterward. I saw a video on YT that showed me how. Just a tip. Try to wash it alone on delicate and don't dry it. It will last a lot longer.

@dianaspears456910 ай бұрын
If printing with an Epson, the ink will not dry completely and will smear if printed directly onto the Easysubli. This is why she print on sub paper and then press onto the Easysubli. If printing with a Sawgrass, you are able to print directly onto the Easysubli.

If the white names are separate from the sublimated design, then cut them from the same vinyl you're sublimating on just to simplify everything. 13:33 why can't we just put the white vinyl directly on top of the shirt, why do we need to move it to the easysubli mask then put it to the shirt?
@JenniferMaker5 ай бұрын
It is to the EasySubli mask first is to ensure proper alignment and adhesion. The EasySubli mask helps in several ways: Alignment: By using the mask, you can ensure that your design is centered and placed exactly where you want it on the shirt. The mask allows you to position the design accurately before pressing. Adhesion: The mask helps to evenly distribute pressure and heat during the pressing process, ensuring that the vinyl adheres properly to the fabric. This prevents issues like bubbles or parts of the design not sticking well. Protection: The mask protects the vinyl from direct contact with the heat press, which can prevent damage to the vinyl and ensure a clean transfer. Using the EasySubli mask is a crucial step to achieve a professional and durable finish for your design.

Thanks for the great videos! I learn so much from them. I don’t understand why you need to use the Siser heat transfer mask. Can you just use the film from the back of the HTV vinyl as your backing?
@JenniferMaker5 ай бұрын
The Siser heat transfer mask is essential because it is specifically designed to handle the high temperatures and pressures involved in the sublimation process. Regular backing films from HTV vinyl are not designed to handle such high temperatures and could potentially damage your materials and tools. The mask helps in properly aligning and adhering the sublimation design to the HTV. It ensures that the design stays in place during the pressing process, which is crucial for achieving a clean and precise transfer.

To sublimation in dark shirts. Do I have to use a cricut? Is there another way like making the design more brighter or use bright colors?
@JenniferMaker3 ай бұрын
You don't necessarily have to use a Cricut for sublimation on dark shirts. While the Cricut is a popular tool for this process, there are other methods you can use. One effective way is to use Caesar EasySubli, which is a type of heat transfer vinyl (HTV) designed specifically for sublimation projects. This material allows you to sublimate on dark shirts without needing a Cricut. Additionally, making the design brighter or using bright colors can help, but the key is to use a white base like EasySubli to ensure the colors pop on dark fabrics. You can also use other types of HTV that are suitable for sublimation, such as HTV Rot Sublimation, which provides an opaque white base.

@JenniferMaker4 ай бұрын
Make sure to preheat your blanks to remove any moisture and wrinkles. Moisture can cause the ink to bleed, so ensuring everything is dry before you start is crucial. Avoid using freezer paper, wax paper, teflon sheets, or parchment paper as they can trap moisture. Instead, use plain white butcher paper on top to protect the heat source and plain white card stock under your project to catch any excess ink. Use enough heat-resistant tape to keep your design in place and very tight and smooth against your blank. This helps prevent the ink from shifting around during sublimation. Double and triple-check that there is no protective film on your blank that needs to be removed before you press. This is especially important for metals and acrylics.

@JenniferMaker7 ай бұрын
It has not been through many washes but to help preserve it here are tips directly from HTVRONT. The cure of HTV will take a while. When the adhesive on the heat transfer vinyl is thermally activated, the adhesive sinks into the fibers of shirts, bags, pants, etc. After application, it takes a while for the adhesive to harden and cool without interruption. If you pick up that shirt and throw it into the washing machine and dryer immediately, the vinyl will most likely peel or crack. www.htvront.com/blogs/beginners-guide-precautions/tips-for-washing-shirts-with-htv-vinyl
