How to Sublimate the 16 oz. Stainless Steel Tumbler

I received my tumblers in the evening and it is about 2 in the morning and I decided to make my first sublimation with one. Well, it turned out GREAT. I was very nervous at first because the color was not looking good coming through the paper, but when I peeled it back, WOW. Glad I ran across this video and the shipping was fast. Thank you.

What type of heat press are you using for the slanted style tumbler?

I have over 100 yetis. Some matte, shiny, duracoat, etc. HOW or what do I need to put on them so that I can sub on them? Any recommended products?

Ashley, we do not have any type of Sublimation coating. A polyester coating will need to be applied first, if they are not already coated, and then you will be able to Sublimate.

Bonita, yes, they are specifically coated with a polyester coating for Sublimation.

Hello! We do not sell that brand, nor have we tested. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm if they are polyester coated for Sublimation.

Hello! The tumblers do need a polyester coating in order for the ink to transfer into the coating.

Hello! You would be able to sublimate if the coating is a polyester coating. All of our products ship with a coating, and are ready for Sublimation.

Note: Use the Latte Element for this product! 4-in-1 Mug Press Press Temperature: 320°F Time: 200 Seconds Pressure: Medium Attach sublimation transfer paper with image printed in reverse to the tumbler with thermal tape Place tumbler in press at the press temperature, and close the element around the tumbler Press for the specified time above needed using specified pressure If the image begins to look blurry, or burnt brown by over-pressing, decrease time by 15 - 30 seconds Once done, remove the tumbler from the press and remove the transfer paper immediately Allow the tumbler to cool completely before use Oven Settings Press Temperature: 400°F Time: 5 - 6 Minutes (test in your oven for accurate time) Attach reversed printed image to tumbler with thermal tape Place tumbler in heat shrink bag or silicone wrap Place in oven preheated to 400°F for approximately 5 - 6 minutes (test to determine best timing!) Afterwards, remove heat shrink bag / wrap and paper immediately Allow the tumbler to cool completely before use
