would the signs change for let's say: (2a-2b)-(5a-7b), would the negatives become positives and the positives become negatives?

Man I'm in Pre-Calc and I forgot how to even do this haha, thank you! I really appreciated this because it helped me a lot and then watching this reminded me how to solve everything again. High school T_T.

Good morning Sir✌😂 I am one of your subscriber in your youtube content which is all about math. Regarding to your one videos "How to subtract two binomials" you said that we can subtract binomials if it is same base like (5a + 9b ) - ( 2a + 4b) I learned this example you've talked about in your video, So I just want to ask what if the equation is like this ( a³-3a) - ( 1- a -2a²) what method that you can apply to this equation? It is subracting binomials with a trinomials may I right? Thank you Sir! I hope that you notice this message.😂😊

I apologize for posting here, because I don't know where to post but I have a problem I need assistance with if I can. The rules state to find the Greatest Common Factor such that the remaining factors have only integer coefficients. The problem is: 1/2x^3 + 2x^2 - 5. I thought about what I could do but I don't understand what numbers are the Remaining Factor and I tried 10 as the greatest common factor. I would really love if there were a lesson about this. Thank you!

Oops, the -5 has an x at the end, so instead of -5, it's -5x.
@brianmclogan8 жыл бұрын
GCF will be x, if you need to factor out a GCF for integer coeffiencts then factor out 1/2 your new expression will look like this 1/2x(x^2+4x-10)

How would you express your answer as a trinomial
@brianmclogan8 жыл бұрын
why do you need to do that, the answer is a binomial

so it doesnt matter that the other binomial is still in parentheses?

What if they're both perfect squares?
@brianmclogan9 жыл бұрын
The Milkman then you would apply the same process. just take the square root of both terms to identify a and b

I'm so confused, (-5x^3+4) - (-8x^3) How is the answer not -3x^3 + 4?
@brianmclogan10 жыл бұрын
Danny Layne -5-(-8) can be written as an addition problem -5+8 which is 3
@daniellayne833610 жыл бұрын
Mr. McLogan's Math Channel Yeah I looked more into it and understood how I got it wrong. Thanks man.
