My 1 cent. Diplomacy mod gives messengers. So you don't need to track anyone down yourself. Makes "realistic sense" (Set it to over 10+days though). And it changes AI army behaviour too to be more self interested. Though removes/ conflicts with the mouse hover over details in the diplomacy tab. I just like to see all the prisoners names captured or how much total tribute kingdoms are paying....

@@MellowScot not too sure where I saw or heard a more detailed explanation but there was one can't find it. The mod should be 11 Dec 2021 last updated. But in game there's mouse over explanations too... - major one is AI armies won't go deep into enemy territory to siege a castle, and they will siege closest to their own settlements and protect theirs (The self interest value). So far I've never encountered AI doing random vanilla behind enemy lines stuff haha. I disable half of the mod options anyway though... claiming won sieged fiefs is a game killer ha

Just an FYI, a town won't rebel while your in it, so it's a great way to stop it from happening when low till you can stabilize it

@@MellowScot yeah i got my own guide how to stop rebellions, but always look t see what out and there what might have changed, I do love parade, but policies are the easiest way when you have your own kingdom

In regards to finding lords and mercs without settlements, you can sort by fiefs (top right of the list) and just look through the ones that have no fiefs. Maybe this was a recent update, but it's there in my vanilla game.

I probably can't do this now, I've been making heads roll while playing, my enemies hate me, and they'd declare war on me almost immediately 😂

You can sort it, so it's sorted by fiefs, then you can look through the list separating and getting clans that way.

1. get money, renown and influence, my advice is to accumulate through mercenary wars. 2. weaken one faction, make friends by releasing lords and donating captured ones to the faction you are fighting for 3. find a fief recently captured that is of other culture than the owner, it will have lower loyalty 4. owner's kingdom has to be too busy in a war somewhere else and it's two largest armies in sieges and battles, while they are not looking provoke incident, declare war and take that castle/town .... or wait for some rebels to pop up and destroy them and take their fief, accumulate influence and declare kingdom. As for money, you'll have plenty if you sell weapons and win battles as a merc

I made a lot of money early game travelling from town to town and trading by buying low selling high done that until clan rank 2 and joined a kingdom as a vassal

I got really lucky then, i joined Vlandia and the King gave me Charas, Ortysia, Jalmarys, Zeonica and Rhotae plus like 3-4 of the non-city castles. Rhotae was what I got last and I abstained from voting and still got it.

@@MellowScot oh ya I have minimum of 30 relation with all but one clan. Ya it's a pain to hold onto, the ai is useless and keeps losing the cities when I go back for reinforcements.

Getting the banner to one of those wanting to unify or destroy empire used to give a free "peace out" to the faction the player just rebelled against, is this no longer so? If it is still available, why is it not mentioned? I don't see the 1 influence / day by being on top of the tournament ladder mentioned much. How about a mention in taking cities in rebellion?

How are you positive 5k gold? I’m negative 4.5k. I removed a lot of garrison, and now I’m -200. I have 5 or so workshops and a few caravans. 240 army size currently.

Aside from personal challenge, any reason to stay as your own kingdom the entire time? Rather than becoming a vassal, that is. Also: let's say I want Battanian lands but don't want to directly declare war, will they declare war on me if I take Battanian cultural lands? While I have a good relationship with the king/lords in Battania?

Thanks for this video! But a couple questions right now I’m part of the southern empire and we have been at war with another faction can’t remember the name but we have taken a lot of their castles and have lost a lot of troops. I also am losing about 1k gold a day, I want to start my own kingdom but the fiefs I have are right in the heart of the southern empire. And I have another 5 workshops in the southern empire. I want to leave and make own kingdom but I want to make it up north by the sturgeons, and even if I lose my fiefs try to take castles up there and build my troop count up. But i won’t be making money how do I keep my workshops in places that’ll make good money and will I lose my workshops if I leave the southern kingdom

I was -400 influence for starting two wars that Caladog didn't like. I built it back up by just fighting sea raiders. It helped me get money, XP for my soldiers, and the renown to get out of negative influence. The spot between Varcheg and Revyl (in Sturgia) is easy to farm raiders.
