How To Support In Lost Ark For Dummies

Solo Raids are coming and I thought no better time to get a basics to supporting in Lost Ark for New and Returning Players. I imagine an influx of new players will come to the game with next month's update, so here are 5 of the key things you need to do as a Support in Lost Ark, whether you are an Artist, Paladin, or Bard. These are just the basic fundamentals, there are plenty of other resources that do a deep dive on the class specifics.

Bless you, good sir. I know it might not be the most looked at guide I have made but I do think the average/ new player trying to play supp would need something like this. Very basic and surface level, but it should give them a baseline.

Maybe it's a slight off-topic but the vast majority dps have around the same uptime as your "average pug support" so asking for more is simply hypocritical. It's not to say that people should not try to improve - they really should, but people give too much shit to supports for no reason as that criticism is mostly coming from at best mediocre dps players who really don't deserve a 90/90/50 support to ever join their lobbies, but they think they do for whatever reason according to places like LA subreddit. The problem comes from the fact that supports are so broken in this game that their underperformance is felt much more prominently than a guy who does a single digit dps in G2 echidna and getting bused for free or something along those lines. So people should stop bashing supports all the time and look at themselves first and ask whether or not they deserve a good support to play with them, and in most cases the honest answer to that question is no. Also, unless you use the bible it's incredibly difficult for a support player to assess their own performance because the game does not have a good feedback for supports, especially in 8 man raids where you can just get "radiant supporter" for free by being put in the more juiced group.

Why are Japanese girls so hard to talk to? I'm polite. Each time I approach one, I say "konichiwa". I always ask them about their favourite anime before talking about my waifu. They're usually really shy (which is cute imo) but I hate that I have to be the one to constantly engage in conversations with them, and how they usually get disinterested because I'm a white guy. Yes, I get that it's awkward because of things like Pearl Harbor, but I don't hold it against them. They weren't in Unit 731, so why judge them for it? Why can't the himes just realize that I respect Japanese culture and that I really want to be part of it. I'm willing to marry a Japanese woman, adopt Japanese children and even live in Japan for the rest of my life. Hell, I'm even learning the language by watching undubbed anime. Plus, I cook a mean bowl of rice (for those who don't know, Japanese eat a lot of rice, I do too my Mom says that I act like a Japanese person because of all the rice I eat and the anime I watch).
